He Did It
And i'm gonna go crazy. DH bought DD one of those creepy little "Booh-Bah" toys. For the last month shes been walking around saying "Bee-Bah" and I didn't realize where she picked it up until I noticed the cartoon came on after Barney. Those things look CREEPY, they would have given me nightmares as a child! But to top it all off there is a creepy "bee-bah" talking toy in my house on top of DD saying it all day! (Yes, DH is working tonight, hence my many posts, lol!)
Luckily, my dks are too young for this but I thought the Teletubbies were the most annoying creatures imaginable. I was wrong! The Booh-Bahs are worse. I'd slip in some old batteries in a few days and Darn if those cheap batteries it came with haven't already run out! But I'm evil that way. And my dh is gone tonight, too!
I don't let my kids watch it, I don't like the "baby talk"
Yup, thats my problem with those and TEletubbies, Emily. She doesnt even watch it but its those few times she heard that Bee-Bah, I was done.
LOL, well, my DH has been gone all week, so I am always on here Anyway, my sister said that her 2 year old loves that toy and I have never even heard of it. SO I guess it is like the teletubbies, which by the way, my kids never watched either. I guess I have it pretty good with Katelyn walking around saying Vaminos, or however you spell it from Dora..lol She has loved Dora for a year now and we are gradually getting away from it, going into Barbie now...Oh brother..
My girls loved the teletubbies and they love the Bee-Bah's too. My 20 month old walks around with hers saying "Bee-Bah" too, but I think it's cute.
My grandmom sent the Chicken Dance Elmo for the kids, since Maddie broke her leg. Now I hear the chicken dance song and "Elmo wants to be a chicken Elmo wants to be a duck...." ALL DAY!!! I'd take the Boobah over that any day!
I don't know what a booh bah is, but I remember dh's cousin gave my 3 dks, 3 furbys a few years ago. They all squawked all the time and drove me crazy. they mysteriously disappeared at Christmas...
there's a guy where i work that's afraid of the things lol = ) ...He thought it was funny the other day that i was scared of a bird he went back and told me that was a bat that i was hearing well he confessed it was only a bird he said he would bring in a real bat one day (yeah right) so i told him that's okay i will go get a boobah off of the shelf lol he said that's okay i'm not scared of them anymore i will just close my eyes lol too funny = ) ...
What the heck is a bee bah?? (so glad we are out of that phase of parenting)
Ugh Booh-Bahs! I can't tell you how glad I am that my children are too old to want to watch that show. They are creepy looking. Like some big, technicolor blob with eyes.
Here's what they look like..... scary!
OH lordy lordy do I hate the boohbahs, They are WAY MUCH worse than the teletubbies. Wow they will totally rot your brain in about 2 sec flat. And honestly I think they look obscene, and they fart. Wow....
They fart?? We never actually watch the show, the kids have only seen the dolls while shopping. They are *supposed* to encourage kids to get up and be active, but they are a bit freaky looking, IMO!
We've never watched the show. But I do think they are ugly My kids loved (youngest still does) the Teletubbies. My daughter got a red teletubbie for her first Christmas and she still holds on to that thing. We never had a problem with either of them talking "baby talk" though. They know that it's just a show and that the Teletubbies are different from regular boys and girls.
LOL. Which one did you get?
