Rough Night
I spent the night at the hospital on a heart monitor and with a nitro patch. Yesterday afternoon I felt as if I was getting a tooth ache. My right jaw was really aching. By 5:00 my jaw and neck were throbbing, and by later that night, the pain was radiating into my back and right arm. We were at bridge, and I began to think of all those things I'd read about women's heart attacks. I told DH I wanted to go to the emergency room. The EKG, blood work and chest X-ray looked good, but they wouldn't release me until they could do a stress echo test this morning. Sleeping on a narrow padded gurney in the emergency room wasn't easy, especially hooked into a heart monitor, a BP cuff and IV. They did the stress test at about 10 a.m. and said all looked fine. The diagnosis is acute bronchitis and fibremyalgia flair up. Well, at least I won't need a pre-op EKG before my colonoscopy.
{{{{{Bea}}}}} I'm glad it wasn't a heart problem. I'm also glad you had it checked out! Stay healthy, Woman!
Oh, Bea - I'm so glad you're okay!
All night in the hospital ER is no fun...not much sleep either. We will say a prayer for you tonight!!
Glad it wasn't your heart. I hope that you feel better soon.
(((Bea))) Sorry you had such a rough night! I would have thought heart problems, too, so I'm glad you got checked out!! Hope you are feeling better!!!
I'm glad you are OK, I hope you feel better soon.
Bea, I hope you are feeling better. I can relate the the Fibromyalgia flare up, I have that as well. Please take care of yourself.
I'm glad it wasn't anything serious, but that you went to get it checked out. Women don't have the same symptoms as men, so it was worth going in, at least for piece of mind.
{{BEA}} I'm so glad it wasn't anything serious. But, better safe than sorry.
(((Bea))) Glad everything's okay. You certainly did the right thing...that's nothing to mess around with! Hope you're feeling better soon.
{{{{{BEA}}}}} I am so glad that everything was ok. I hope that you feel better soon.
(((Bea))) Please get well soon! You will be in my prayers!
I'm glad that you are doing ok, and that your heart wasn't the culprit. That is scary. Take it easy for a couple of days.
{{{Bea}}} so glad it was nothing serious!! You did the right thing. I have been having really bad chest pains for a month now and its scary. I went to my family Dr. who in turn sent me to a cardiologist. In the past 2 weeks I have had a EKG a Holter monitor on for 24 hours and an echo cadiogram. All came back ok its all due to stress!! But it is scary. Glad to hear that you Big Irish heart is fine!!!
So glad everything is okay! I'm also glad you went in to get checked out.
((((BEA))))
Bea, so glad to hear it wasn't your heart. Kudos for you for going to the ER. With all of the reports these days about women and heart attacks, I'm glad you didn't take any chances.
Hope you feel better soon Bea.
((hugs)) glad you are okay!
(((((Bea)))) Enjoyed your tour, btw... Loved it!
(((((((((Bea)))))))))) Glad you are okay. BTW...loving the pictures!
Glad you are okay!
Glad you're okay and you were very smart to get checked!
(((HUGS))) I am so proud of you for going and getting checked out. I am so glad everything looks okay!!
Goodness, what a way to spend the Christmas season! Hope you feel better!
Bea, I hope you are feeling better. My mom had something similar happen and it turned out to be bronchitis as well. No fun, but much better than a heart attack. Take it easy. Ame
Get better soon! Glad it didn't have to do with your heart though.
Oh, how scary it must've been, Bea! So happy to hear it's not your heart! Take care, OK? You've got to get that beautiful house ready for Christmas!
((((HUGS))))
I am so glad you went & had it checked. I hope you get to feeling better & are resting today.
I am so glad that it wasn't your heart, Bea. I hope you are feel better soon. Please, take care of yourself. I have been dealing with Bronchitis for 2 months and I am just now feeling better.
How are you feeling today Bea?
Thank you all so very much. I'm feeling much better. I used pain meds, and had two good night's sleep. AMAZING what sleep can do. I'm taking the antibiotic for the bronchitis and things seem better with that too.
Good! Glad you are feeling better!
Oh, Bea! I don't know how I missed this post! I'm so glad you are feeling better! ((HUG))
Bea, I'm just seeing this since we were on a cruise. I'm so glad it wasn't anything serious. And I too, can relate to the FM flare - NOT a fun thing. Sleep is MOST important, particularly for FM I hope you continue to feel better.
