President Bush is going to be here today! He's already at MCAS Miramar and should be here at the Camp Pendleton Air Station a little after 9PST. I want to meet the President!!! I think it would be neat. I'm trying to find out now if its only Marines and Sailors who can go or if spouses can as well. A few of my friends DHs were picked to have breakfast with Bush, or as they have to address him "The Honorable President Bush", lol! Just thought i'd share!

Just a warning, the base will be under very tight security, and if you haven't been invited to meet him you usually won't be able to get close. (I only tell you this since he's at Ft. Hood often, and every time he comes it nearly shuts that side of the base down!) Let us know what happens!

Yeah, I figured Crystal but I was still hoping. After prying around base resources I found out today is Invite Only. The line to get on base is back up about 1 mile and there are 3 lanes! Yikes, i've never seen it that bad!

LOL, I know exactly how you feel! When I lived on post President Bush came to Easter Service at a church down the road from my house, so I had a huge detour just to get home!
