Stamp collecting
Anybody know anything about stamp collecting? Apparently when I was 13 or so I was really into it. When I got married 11 yrs ago and packed up and moved to Va I put it all in a box. Well we were going through boxes and I found my stamp collection. I had 2 books that I had started to fill, plus hundreds of stamps in those small envelopes. Some my friends father gave me. There are stamps over 40 yrs old. My husband thinks some of these could be worth some money. I have no idea. I try to look online last night, but dont really know what Im looking for in trying to evaluate the stamps. Does anybody collect stamps or use too? What would you suggest with all these stampsI have?
I'd like to know this too, my grandpa had a lot that we got when he passed away. I have them in an envelope waiting until I figure out what to do with them. Christy
You can check out books at the library or buy books that give you the current values of most if not all of the stamps in your collections. I collected for a while myself and at that time I had a couple of value books but where they are now I have NO CLUE. Probably left them at mom's when I moved out and I am sure they are gone by now.
