Suggestions for Family Board Games?
My husband's family enjoys games and his brother is married with two teen boys, ages 14 and 18. Any suggestions for some good games? If you know of a great game AND it's a NEW game, let me know that info, please, as they have a lot of games already, so a new one would be safest. TIA!
I have heard wonderful reviews of a game called Apples to Apples. I haven't played it yet, but it is supposed to be really good!!
I want the game Scene It. I think that would be a good game for them. It a game with a DVD, and you have to guess the movie. They have a Disney version too. Outburst is always a fun game too.
I'm a big fan of Scrabble, Cranium and Pictionary.
Below is a website that shows the CSI crime lab game. Also, if they don't have Balderdash...that is a "must have" for kids that age! CSI game
What about the new 90's Trivial Pursuit? That is right when the kids were growing up and I know that I really want it! I've seen it at Target for about $20 and it just came out so they wouldn't have it yet.
I echo what Vicki said--Apples to Apples is great!!! We have it and play it with my dh's family all the time. The idea of the game: One person (the judge) throws out a card with an adjective on it. Everyone else quickly sorts through their cards and finds a noun that they think fits the adjective. The judge then decides which one he thinks fits the best! It gets silly and very unpredictable! Great for adults and teenagers alike!!
I like Cranuim, Pictionary, and Scattergories. They are all a lot of fun to play
Taboo is a blast! We get together with a few of our neighbors (kids and all) every New Years Eve and it is the only game we have found where the teenagers actually want to hangout and play with the adults.
We absolutely love Sequence. We shared it with friends and have gotten so many others hooked on it. GREAT GAME.
Ditto Bea...My mom absolutely raves about this game, and my kids have the jr. version.
