Is it bad.....
... that for dinner tonight DD and I shared a jar of chocolate cake frosting??? Or that we like to show each other "sea food" when eating??? Or that I secretly laugh and when she calls DH by his name since it makes him so mad??? I'm baaaaaaaaadddddddddd............!!!!!! Come on, spill your bad habits you gave to your DK's!!! I know i'm not the only one!
My 2 year old cusses on occasion
DD burps, giggles, then says scuse me. Don't have any idea where she picked that up!!!!!
My 18 month old makes "scary Monster" faces at the people in the tables beside us in restaraunts...visualize, hands on head with fingers pointing and tongue moving out of her mouth from side to side.....Oh boy, and this was taught from a lady that watches her on occasion...how silly So get this, I taught my 3 year old mine and dh's names (for emergency cases) and now out in public when she calls me by my name I say, call me mommie...only because I feel like I look like a babysitter instead of her mommie. And to think I taught her our names in the first place, I must be one confusing mom to her. Funny story, we were in Wal-mart tonight and she yelled "hey Candis, look at this" and I said Katelyn don't call me by my name call me by my title (as if she understood that) and she said "Hey Title" I laughed so hard..kids are hilarious!!!
We taught DD to say "I'm a princess, darn it!!" but with the cuss word. In our defense, she picked up the word before that, we figured we would put it to good use!
Sarah was between 1 and 2, old enough to sit in a booster seat at the table and probably old enough to feed herself. DH was already done eating and went back to his painting in the kitchen. He passed some gas and Sarah said, "Fart!" as plain as day and then I'm sure she giggled. Dh and I were just about doubled over laughing. Gee, where did she learn that word and when did she figure out what it meant? LOL!
I really *appreciate* the good looks of one of the carpenters on Trading Spaces so I taught my then 2yo to say "Carter's a hottie!" DH didn't appreciate it but I really hated that she picked up "Use your blinker, F-----" from listening to him while driving. Needless to say, he learned to watch his language when there were little ears around. Oh, and my sister taught all three of them to refer to her as a "pretty, pretty princess" anytime they want something from her.
One day I hurt myself and said "Oh Sh--" About 2 days later Rylee fell down and said what sounded like "sh--". Chris and I just died laughing.
Last night my DH turned and gave me a crooked smile when my DD said "Daddy, help me, so I can help you." LOL! I said that to him! So, her mistake is repeating Mommy's words!
My three year old will say d*m it once in a great while. The part that really kills me about that is that is like the worse thing that I probably ever say. Dh will on occasion say much worse and she doesn't repeat him. I am always reminding not to say those things so of course he just loved it when she picked up on my word of choice. You really can't say or do anything in front of my dd 3 she picks up on everything. My ds 6 things will still go over his head. One bad habit that both my dk's have from both of us. They love Pepsi way to much!
This is great Melissa. I have tons but I'll stick to the most recent! My daughter got a citation on the bus for misconduct two weeks ago. Well, the principal called so I went in and had a meeting. He explained that the misconduct was my daughter trying to give a wedgy to a boy on the bus. So, I looked at the principal(great guy btw)and explained,in my daughters defense of course..LOL That she may have been trying to give him a wedgy, because we play like this at home all the time & Besides Sponge Bob and Patrick do it too..LOL Ok so were an awful family!!! *grin*
LOL Stori, *that* cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!!!
