Need creative Christmas card ideas!!!
My family can't think of an idea for our Christmas card picture this year!! Can you help us, please!!?? In our picture we would like our 6 year old DD and our 16 week old black puppy(who is about half the size of a full-grown retriever!) We would like snow but not sure if Mother Nature is going to help us with that!! In the past we have had DD and dog (our previous dog) on a sled one year, with antlers on their heads another year, and on a bench with big red bows around their necks another year. We are out of cute, creative ideas!! Would love to hear any that you can think of!!
What about the two of them sitting in a giant wrapped package? Try half a refrigerator box wrapped in a paper that matches your dd's outfit with wide red ribbon up the side, like the top of package has been taken off. There's my idea. Make sure to post so we can see how it turns out!
What about finding a BIG stocking and putting them both in it? I'm sure some place must sell them that big.
I recently had my dk's pictures made with our dog for Christmas and they all turned out so perfect that I had a hard time choosing just one pose. I bought matching red plaid pjs for my dk's and put a Christmas collar on our dog that was red and green with jingle bells and they sat in a big chair with a Christmas tree scene behind them (it looked so real!). My dd sat in the chair and held Dodger (he's a Norfolk Terrier) and my ds sat on the arm of the chair and held his favorite stuffed moose. I couldn't be more pleased with the pictures! I'll post one when I get the pictures back (hopefull this week!). We have friends who had their picture taken with their "Dog-Children" last year. They both sat on Santa's lap and held the dogs. The pictures were priceless.
How about on Santa's lap as mentioned above, Pj's in front of fireplace or tree. Santa hats on, elf hats on, Sweaters on, under mistletoe,.... Those are a few thoughts that come to mind. I usually take pics myself of the kids in front of our tree with matching colors on and send them in my cards. I am cheap tho! LOL I like looking at everyone's cute creative pic's on here!
Maybe Miss Claus for your DD and your dog an elf! They sell elf costumes for all size dogs. Good Luck, it sounds like all these ideas are really cute!
