DS threw up all over last night, carpet and side of the couch. DH did the best he could at cleaning it all up. How do we get the smell out of the carpet?

We use a steam cleaner for the carpet. Bought one at Costco. We've gotten A LOT of use out of it! Febreeze might work for the couch.

Go to a pet store and buy some Natures Miracle, it takes a couple days to work but it will get the smell out.

We used Oxiclean when this happened to us. Our friends daughter threw up all over our carpet. We used oxiclean and then once it was all cleaned, Chris poured water to saturate the carpet again and then vaccumed it all up with a wet/dry vac.

The only thing that worked when DHs friend threw up on our carpet was to have it professionally cleaned. That lingering smell tops all the rest to me. Thats one thing I cant handle. Blah!

My daughter did the same thing last night all over the carpet. I am steam cleaning the carpet today.

"Nature's Miracle" - You can buy it at most pet supply stores. GREAT for removing pet and human stains and odors from urine, feces and vomit. It WORKS! DS threw up on the beige carpeting in his bedroom. I thought we were doomed with the stain and odor but Nature's Miracle did the trick.
