Brag on my 'baby'
This past Wednesday, I got the greatest birthday present....my youngest dd, Amy, was elected 8th grade class president!!!! She gets to plan various class activities, and address her class at the graduation ceremony in May (ooh, I'd better stock up on my tissues...she's the last one...) She worked so hard on her campaign, with posters and cookies that she iced her name onto....she had me help her with her speech, which she was so nervous about. I was on pins and needles until after school! For those who remember, three years ago Amy was the one who became seriously ill with Crohn's Disease. She's in remission now, enjoying life as a cheerleader, getting ready for high school. It reminds me that I owe this birthday gift in part to you ladies who supported me and prayed for Amy back in 2001.
Yeah!!!!! Tell her Congratulations on a job well done.
That's wonderful! I am glad to hear after all the hard work that she put into it, she got elected. Congrats to your DD!
Congratulations to Amy! I know that makes you proud. I am so happy that she is in remission now and enjoying things.
How wonderful!! You must be so proud!
Kay that is Great Congrats to President Amy.
That is exciting news! You have good reason to brag!
I loved being involved in Student Government! ^5 to Amy! WTG
Awesome! I bet she is thrilled I, too, loved being involved in Student Government - so much that I became Secretary of my ds's school's PTA the other day. It is a great way to be involved in a big way in the school - I'm sure she will love the responsibility! Way to go Mom as well!
Congratulations!! She should enjoy that, especially after working so hard! My children didn't have those aspirations!
