My hubby started taking it a couple of months ago. Not sure about side effects. He hasn't mentioned anything.

Have you talked to your doctor about reducing cholesterol with diet?

It even says this in the warnings section:

Before instituting therapy with rosuvastatin, an attempt should be made to control hypercholesterolemia with appropriate diet and exercise, weight reduction in obese patients, and treatment of underlying medical problems (see INDICATIONS AND USAGE).

Will let you know. I just started taking it yesterday. (Chol 267, LDL 158, HDL 51 - not good!) Chol is down from a level drawn a year-and-a-half ago, but not down enough!
