I think I'm OK but I was in a car crash
My son is going to take me to the hospital to get checked out, and I'll get back to you later.
{{{{{Ginny}}}}} Hope everything is okay.
Hugs for you Ginny. I hope you're okay.
{{{Ginny}}} Glad to hear you're going to the hospital to get checked. Please keep us posted. Be aware that some injuries may not show up until a few weeks post accident.
So sorry! Glad you are getting checked out by a doctor! Keep us posted!
Oh, Ginny, please let us know how you are doing.
Ginny, I will be praying that everything is okay. Please let us know!
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} Let us know how it goes.
oh my goodness prayers for you = ( ...
{{{Ginny}}} Prayers that all is ok...let us know.
Oh no!!! How did it happen? Good thing you're getting checked out. I hope everything's OK. How bad is your car??
Prayers and hugs. Best to go and get checked out. Sometimes you don't feel it until the next day. Ame
Ditto everyone else. Lots of hugs and take care of yourself.
You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope to hear everything is fine!! Let us know!!
The car is pretty bad. I'm pretty much OK. I'm short, so I sit closer to the steering wheel than most, and the car is an '88, so no air bags, but of course I don't move my car without fastening the seat belt. I have brusing on my upper chest, just above and between my breasts, and raising my arms is no picnic. The hospital took chest x-rays and sees nothing. I didn't hit my head, and no whiplash. I think the reason I am hurt so little, comparatively, is that I was coming out of a stop to make a left turn, and she says she was coming out of a stop with a green light (though I am sure I had the green), so neither of us was moving very fast. The crash sounded terrible. My car looks absolutely terrible. I had AAA bring it to my house and put it in the driveway, and after he brought me home from the hospital Scott moved it further up the driveway and says the engine doesn't sound good. Who knows? I have taken some Motrin and Darvon, and will eat something soon. Right now I just want to whine and feel sorry for myself.
((((Ginny)))) I'm glad you are okay - I know you must be in a good deal of pain though. Relax, take it easy, whine, and feel sorry for yourself.
((hugs)) I'm glad you're okay. Car accidents are scary. I agree with Amy...whine away!
I think you are more than entitled to whine. Were there any witnesses to say who had the right of way? Insurance rates can skyrocket if you are determined to carry partial blame or it is undecided. Take it easy and whine all you like!
Thank goodness you're alright. Tale it easy---you'll probably be pretty stiff and sore in the morning.

Oh Ginny, I hope that you can get some rest. Please keep us posted and let us know how you are feeling. Many ehugs!
I slept well (with a Motrin and a Darvon), woke up around 1 (to go the bathroom because I drank so much water with the pills), took another set of pills and went back to sleep. My breastbone feels bruised and this morning I discovered a small bruise on the inside of my right knee, also probably from hitting the steering wheel, and the knee is a bit stiff but not sore. I can raise my arms over my head and move them around at shoulder level without pain, which I could not do last night. So all in all, I guess I'm OK. I am guessing the bruised feeling around the breastbone will take the longest to clear up, but I feel more than well enough to go to work. Happily, when I called one of my bosses last night to tell him, he offered to chauffer me to and from work today and I am taking him up on it. Thanks, all, for your thoughts and worries.
I know how scary it is, I relived my accident in my head for a while after it happened. Thankfully both you and the other driver are ok. Hope you are feeling a little better today.
Ginny, I'm glad you're just bruised and nothing worse. Try to take it easy. What a great boss you have! More hugs.
I'm so glad it wasn't worse! When will your insurance adjuster take a look at your car? Does your policy cover rentals? Don't be surprised if you are more sore tomorrow than today. Just be aware of your body - particularly your neck muscles. Soft tissue injuries sometimes take 24-48 hours to really become apparent. Take care of you!!!!!
I'm glad to hear you are o.k. Here's something funny, when i read your topic i thought it said "I think i'm OK but, I was in a car wash" I was like...O k?
I am glad that you are ok sweetie. Get all the rest that you can get.
You are trooper! I would have said, "Thanks, Boss, but I'm calling in sick today." I don't think your boss would have been too upset, even though this is a new job. Just don't do too much! Ame
{{{Ginny} Gald to hear you are ok.
Hope you feel better. Oh my goodness...
I am glad you are ok. Sorry you had a wreck!
Thank goodness you are okay! (And wow, what a boss you have!) ((HUGS)) Good luck getting it all settled with the insurance.
Ginny, I am so glad you are okay.
Glad you're OK, but so sorry that this happened to you! It sounds like you've got lots of people to take care of you, though Keep us posted...
I am so sorry to hear you got into an accident- glad it wasn't worse- it's the last thing you need what with the new job and all the money you just put into getting your car ready for the daily drives. I have been in a couple of accidents myself. About 10 years ago I got a ticket for turning left in front of oncoming traffic even though I was in the middle of the intersection waiting to turn left when the light turned red, and the woman who came through the intersection from the opposite direction and hit me was running the red light. Her car was smashed worse than mine cuz she was going faster! Keep your chin up! (if it doesn't hurt!)
Glad you are okay. Sorry about the car. Ouch!
I'm glad you are ok! Hope you are feeling better.
((Ginny))
I'm glad you are ok! How scary! How are you feeling?
I'm glad to hear your okay Ginny. I am so sorry about your car. I know you just spent money to get it ready for your new job. On a positive note, it sounds like you have a wonderful boss. Ditto Eve, how are you feeling today?
Thinking of you, Ginny... {{HUGS}}
Ginny, I just read the message - I'm so sorry! I can certainly identify with being a short driver - I never know whether to be more afraid of the crash itself, or the airbag! I'm glad you're okay.
Ginny, I am so glad you are okay. Wishing you the best....
Thanks all, again. The sore spot on my chest is smaller and hurts less - it's actually on my upper chest, about a hand's width below the collar bone. It's smaller, hurts less, and Motrin keeps it tolerable. But when I go to pick something up, my body says "don't do that". I think I'll ask my son to tote the laundry baskets up and down the stairs this weekend. My left knee is bruised and felt sore Thursday but Friday I forgot to wear the elastic knee brace and had no problems with it. A few pangs around my shoulder blades when I try to lift something, but otherwise nothing from my back or neck. If I am still hurting Monday I'll make an appointment to see my primary care doctor. Right now I'm just waiting to hear from the adjuster to learn if the insurance company is going to total my car or not. I really don't want to buy a new car. I am thinking that if there is no frame damage and the engine hasn't been moved by the impact, I might be better off paying on top of what the insurance company allows me for the repairs than paying for a newer car, but I'll have to wait to see what the adjuster says. The car I collided with, a Honda Acura, is still at the gas station where the police moved us, and has very little damage. It will need a new front bumper, new left light assembly, and maybe a left front quarter panel (what we called the fender when I was a kid) and airbags, but seems otherwise OK.
