False labor or real?

False labor or real?
I've been having contractions for about an hour and a half now, and walking seems to be helping, but not much, as soon as I stop moving they come back. I had three false labor trips to the hospital with dd and then when I really was in labor didn't feel anything till my water broke and I was between 5 and 6 centimeters. So my question is does this sound like real or false labor to you ladies? It's still a bit too early, I'm only 35 weeks, and I'm not sure if I should go to the hospital or not, I guess I'll just keep a watch on it and see what happens. TIA
Start drinking water & timing them. I would also put your feet up, just in case. If you start feeling pressure or have 5 contractions in an hour I would call your doctor.
That's what the contractions seem to mostly be is pressure, combine with lower back pain. Should I call my husband and have him take me in? They've been spaced about 15-20 minutes apart.....grrrrrr, I hate having to try and figure this stuff out, LOL.
How fast did you deliver last time, how far are you from the hospital? I would definately give a call to your ob and see what they say.
I delivered in 2 hours the last time, and I'm like 30-45 minutes from the hospital I'm supposed to deliver at, although if I had to I could go to the other one on post. I think it might be false labor though, they're starting to get further apart and more irregular.
Wow you're pretty speedy, and you are pretty far from the hospital. I dunno I would watch it carefully. Do you have a friend nearby that has a car that wouldnt mind hanging out w/ you for a while? I still would give a call into the ob and see what they have to say. And of course any spotting, fluid, whatever is a "do not pass go, go straight to the hospital"
Have you had a bloody show yet? That was my clue. Also, the contractions got so bad that I couldn't talk through them and that a change in position had no effect on them. From what you describe, it sounds like you are either not in labor or are in the early stages of labor. Ame
I didn't have a bloody show until I was 5 cm with dd at the hospital. I think I would call your doctor & see what they think. I personally think it sounds like you are in the early stages of labor & since you are only 35 weeks they would probably want to stop it before it goes to much further. Call your doctor & let us know. GOOD LUCK!
Ditto Emily!
Anybody else worried that we havent heard from melana?
I was wondering how she was.
I didn't have any pain with my contractions until I was 5 cm, and I had been contracting ALL day at home. I was term, though, and had a mucus (but not bloody) show throughout the night before and that day. Let us know how you are doing!!
Melana did you go to the hospital or are you still with us = )
I went to the hospital and they said it was false labor, grrr, lol. they did give me antibiotics for a UTI though.
Thats good, that baby needs to be in there for a bit more. Glad your doing well.
Good to hear ..so it wasn't a "wasted trip" don't feel bad for going either, I went to the hospital with false labor with my 1st one 3 times, I think we all have done it, and I think I was just so ready to have the baby I would do anything...lol It will be here soon...
I am glad that it was false labor & that you got some antibiotics for your UTI. It is really hard to tell the difference sometimes.
I'm glad that everything is going well. Rest as much as you can and keep us posted.
