Voting day!
I am excited for today...kind of crazy. I dropped off the kids at school and Richard Morrison was there passing out fliers asking for votes. He is running against tom delay in one of our areas biggest races. My 10 year old daughter looked out the car door and said, hey that's richard morrison! I guess there has been a lot of ads! Anyway, we are having a little election night party here, just me and the kids. Does anyone else have anything planned? When I was growing up in my small town we always went down to the courthouse lawn and watched them post votes (think chalkboard..lol). It was always so much fun!
I am just on my way to vote now. I am going to be working tonight for an election night party. My friend owns a bar/restaurant and she asked me to come for a while and help out bartending. They get a large crowd after the polls close. Should be fun!
We don't have anything special planned for tonight. I just hope that it is decided tonight! I am not holding my breath though.
Ditto Vicki
Ditto!
I will ditto as well. I always get a rush after voting, being a part of history.
Vickie, I'm hoping/praying/wishing that we can wake up in the morning and find out who the president is (I almost don't care who anymore!), but I think those days are over. I have a bad feeling it'll be weeks (again) before the lawyers decide who won. Too bad.
DH and I voted at 8:25 this morning! We'll have to wait and see if it's really decided by the morning!
I have training tonight (once monthly child care training--why they scheduled it for tonight I'll never know!). Maybe we'll know something by the time I get home. Probably not.
