Pets and Undergarments
For all of you who were complaining about your puppies chewing up your underwear I would like to let you know that it isn't just puppies that do this stuff! My adult cat chewed my bra strap in half this morning! When I discovered the broken bra strap the older cat (Britney) was sitting right next to it on my bed. I didn't even suspect her! I thought that it must have been the kitten. Then I got thinking how the bra was taken out of the drawer after my shower and that the kitten had been following me around begging for people food all morning. Then I thought that it must have been worn out and broke in the wash until I felt that it was all slobbery! I was in complete shock! I looked at Britney and said OMG it was YOU?!
I wonder why.
Cats, gotta love 'em!
Well I'm right there with you, I found ANOTHER pair of regurgitated panties... LAST STRAW!!!!
Oh my goodness, you make me not want to get a pet...lol. They are so funny though, my cousin had a dog that would eat their panties and they would have to go "check" the house before they could let company in, how embarrassing. She was a daushund (sp?) "wiener dog", if that makes ANY difference. Good luck with your undergarments in the future though...
I've had cats all my life, and have never had one with a panty festish. Guess I've been lucky! Before I got married I shared an apartment with another girl. Her cat liked dark colored socks and went to great lengths to get them. LOL! Once we caught onto this we always left out a certain pair and moved them around the house. He would hunt them and drag them all over the place. He never raided our drawers or laundry baskets again. Have you tried this approach? Might be worth a try. Good Luck!
That's too funny. I've heard of dogs with this fetish. My mom's wiener dog chewed panites, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels. She would also get on my mom's chair when my mom got up and drink her coffee out of her mug that was on the coffee table. It's true. She's an odd dog. My chihuahua would love to chew panites so I keep a close eye on him. Right now in his kennel is a shredded toy of my ds's. Oh and did I metnion that my cat chews bags? Wal-mart and grocery type bags. This is a noisy and dangerous habit. I have to keep bags away from him.
As I was posting, my Chihuahua was trying to smuggle a fallen granola bar box into his kennel. He would have shredded it to a million pieces! Beleive it or not he's a good dog though.
Nicosmom, one of our cats loves to eat plastic! Her nickname is "Munchie" because of it. She'll lick, chew and eat it, then vomit later. Yuck! We have to be sure all plastic bags are put away. I read somewhere that there is a chemical in the plastic that attracts them.
One of my dear mother's cats used to love trapping my pantyhose. I tried really hard to keep them in the drawer or in the hamper, but once in a while I'd hear her doing her 'successful hunt' yowl as she came tripping (and I do mean tripping) down the stairs with one edge of the waistband in her mouth and the legs dragging behind under her belly and between her legs (which is why she was tripping). Another cat used to love to get into the bathroom and steal towels off the shelves behind the door (which were close to the floor and didn't have doors). After 3 years I finally figured out the way to keep him from stealing towels was to keep the bathroom door closed - a big DUH!
When I was young we had a cat that would pee in the toilet!!!!! While my Mom was pregnant the cat followed her to the bathroom everytime she woke up in the middle of the night. One night she heard peeing and assumed it was one of us kids so she got up to check on "us" and found our cat peeing in the toilet. Never say they cant be trained, lol!
My aunt had a cat that they trained to pee in the toilet. It was the funniest thing. Of course, it never flushed...lol
