Hello ladies,

I know I have not posted in a while but with the hurricane that hit us and all, I have been pretty busy. Anyway, my DH is being stationed to VA Beach, VA. We have lived there before about 9 years ago but so much has changed and we actually have to look into elementary schools now. Can anyone give me any good info about local schools in that area. Also since it has been a while since we have been there can anyone give me good advice about which neighborhoods are good to look into. Thanks a bunch ladies!

I live in Va Beach, and we have been here for 11 yrs now. We moved here when myhusband was in the Navy,he isnt anymore, but we decided to make Va Beach our home.
Va Beach is so big, and it depends where you want to live.. Will you be living in an apt or house? Will you be renting or buying?
We live in the Pembroke section of VaBeach, and my 2 older kids go to Pembroke Elementary. My son started there in Kindergarten and is now in the 5th grade, we have had no problems with the school.
There are alot of good neighborhoods, and there are some not so nice ones,just like in any city.
