Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive October 2004: What are you Moms dressing up as for halloween?
By Cakekisses324 on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 08:09 am:

We have a party the night before, and I am going as a 'sexy' police officer, lol, and my hubby is my prisoner.

By Bellajoe on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 08:40 am:

like i told my kids, i'll be mom for halloween.

My dd wants me to be a witch, and my ds doesn't want me to be anything scary. He wants me to be the stepmother to my dd's Cinderella! And i decided to just be me...or be me with a witchs hat on. It just better not be freezing cold on Halloween night. it's my turn to take them trick or treating...every time it is my turn, it is cold. When it's dh's turn it is a beautiful night!

I need some ideas. This year I am taking my kids trick or treating (DH had his turn last year and it was so warm :)) and they want me to dress up. It will probably be freezing for us this year, too.

We also have a party the night before. I'm going as a Playboy Bunny, like the ones from the Bunny Clubs. I had posted not too long ago for costume ideas, and I'm dressing the kids as Mickey and Minnie.

We are having a neighborhood party for about 30 kids on Saturday night in my backyard. My friend and I are dressing up as "Housewives". Every stereotype you can imagine. We are wearing loud housecoats, Knee high panty hose rolled down, old lady slippers, rollers in our hair, reading glasses, I am carrying a toilet brush and she is carrying a feather duster. It should be funny.
Any other Housewife stereotypes you can think of would be great!

I don't dress up for Trick-or-Treating but I do for the Costume Parade at school. Last year I was the Tooth Fairy and that was a big hit with the kids. This year I'm going as a Kethup bottle. It's a staple in my house! LOL!

DH has become a party pooper and will not dress up or go to parties. When we were dating we did, but not anymore. One year he was Merlin and I was his black cat. Another year he was a priest and I was a pregnant nun.

I just found out yesterday that I'm invited to a party! We have an adult Winnie the Pooh costume that I wear each year when we go trick or treating but I'd prefer something else. DH has gone as a pregnant nun. Funny on him but I think I'd just look fat! :(

I'm going to be *me*!

By Boxzgrl on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 11:29 am:

I'm going to be *me* too, and DD is going to be my daughter, LOL! We have the Marine Corps ball the 30th and will be home the 31st so were not celebrating ths year.

I have a rust-colored sweatshirt that I sewed leaves all over...I'll be a leaf pile! My teenage dd has an orange sweatshirt she painted with a bat flying over a full moon that reads, "Costume." I may do one of those myself, since I've been a leaf pile for several years now! LOL

By Rayanne on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 12:10 pm:

I'm going to wear my pumpkin shirt and that is it. Well...of course I will have pants on too. Rylee will be tinkerbell.

I saw a costume at Target that is called "The MIL". You should check it out. I almost thought of getting it, but Chris doesn't want to dress up. He's a big party-pooper.

By Bea on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 06:00 pm:

I'm the same witch every year who greets the kids at our haunted house.

Well, today my kids and I were at the Party Store and I bought the blinky devil ears. So now they have a mom that is "dressed up" and I don't actually have to wear a costume. Everyone wins :)
