I am making stuffed porkchops for dinner tonight. I usually just stuff them without any special seasonings or marinades. Does anyone have any good seasons or marinades they would recommend if I stuff them this morning and allow them to sit in the fridge til dinner time?

I feel like stuffed porkchops in becoming a regular dinner in the house since its so easy so I want to kick it up a bit.

TIA

Sorry, I can't help. I was just wondering what "Stuffed Porkchops" are? I mean, what do you stuff them with? Just curious.

Nikki, stuffed porkchops are butterflied chops filled with stuffing. I never make the stuffing so I just buy stove top and stuff it with that. Its delicious!

I usually stuff mine with an chopped apple/dried cranberry and boxed stuffing mixture and moisten it with either apple juice or orange juice. For the outside, I use salt and plenty of pepper, sometimes even some cayenne, and orange marmalade, or sometimes just seasoned bread crumbs (with egg) and bake them like that! They are very good both ways!

Good luck!

When we make stuffed porkchops we sometimes add apples, cinnamon, and raisins to the stuffing

I sometimes use peach jam, mint, and cinnamon w/ bread cubes. Yummy.

I like to marinade mine in Italian dressing before stuffing them. Of course I like to marinade everything in Italian dressing! LOL

Yum! Melissa, can you explain how you use the oj? And the porkchops, do you cut them like that or what? I haven't made these yet but I love them.

Dana,
I just buy the boneless thick cut porck chops and cut then right down the middle (not all the way through, like a sub sandwich) I make stuffing, usually Stove Top since i've never made it homemade. The Stove Top actually has diections on the side that it tastes good with pork when made with o.j., so you just replace the water you would use with orange juice. Cook the stove top, stuff the pork and pop it in the oven. Cook it for as long as you would regular pork chops. Its simple and easy!
