Good lunch time restuarants? sp? for not too much money
I'm trying to go on a date with dh Saturday. We were really looking forward to going to the melting pot, but we can't go now bc they're only open for supper and we can't leave Emma in the evening. She never eats that well, but you have know all the tricks to get her to eat and there's no way my MIL could do it! Not being ugly at all, I love her to death, she just can't. Anyway, we still want to go out, but we want to go somewhere for lunch that's isn't ridiculously priced. My dh said Juban's or Sullivan's, but their like $100 for two people and I can't see spending a weeks worth of grocery's for one meal. Other suggestions besides eating are welcome too! Thanks, Holly
Olive Garden is a good lunch spot, not too fancy, pretty inexpensive, yummy food. Have fun with DH this weekend!!
I was going to say the Olive Garden too.
We like going to the Cracker Barrel, or to Apple Bees. They are both reasonable with prices.
Olive Garden is yummy! We like TGIFridays as well.
Chili's, Johnny Carino's, Mimi's, Harvest Moon I don't know which of these are nationwide. All reasonable prices, good choices at each.
Holly, being as I live in the same city as you my favorite restaurant is The Cheesecake Bistro over by The Mall of Louisiana. Yum, yum! And very reasonable. Other thoughts....DeAngelo's, Carreta's (new mexican place--haven't tried it yet), Ralph and Kacoo's??? Juban's is really good and for lunch I'd bet their prices are more reasonable. Have fun!
Another vote for Olive Garden
Red Lobster has a bottomless Soup and Salad lunch for $5.99. I love it. Olive Garden has a soup and salad lunch special also. Several Tea Rooms around here will give a large table a limited menu luncheon, with a choice of two each: entree's two soups, desserts and drinks, for a very reasonable price per person.
Could you put off your date until Sunday? Instead of doing lunch with dh on Sat., you could have a romantic brunch on Sunday. Your dd can have lunch with MIL while you and dh take brunch, have a short afternoon "nap" before her dinnertime. ;)
Red Lobster? Olive Garden? Wow, you folks are lucky! We don't have either, in Sheboygan. We would have to drive 45 minutes south to find and Olive Garden! LOL! Fortunately, we do have Chili's and a wonderful, homegrown, Italian restaurant that is WONDERFUL. Okay, expensive, but the food is soooooo good. DH wants to go there this weekend, since his birthday is on Friday!
Macoroni Grill (I order the salmon or beef salad) Cheesecake factory (Everyone loves this one) TGIF (I like the faijias) The outback steak house (expensive) Anything is good Charlie brown steakhouse - I don't like their prime rib. Too salty. The rib place. Forget name. Good ribs! Chilis is good here but our is too loud.
Thanks everyone! Annie, I like your idea, but we all go to church on Sundays. Maybe we'll do that next weekend! Pam, we went to the Cheesecake Bistro when I was preg. with Emma and I got the clam chowder and got sick, so I think I'm permanantely turned off =(. Olive Garden sounds really good! My MIL can't babysit this weekend, so we're going to my parents which is 30 minutes from McComb, MS. I think there's a Ruby Tuesdays there, so that's probably where we're going. Thanks everyone!
