Bad cough that hurts. Do I need to go to the doctor?
I have a cold. But a bad cough that hurts. Should I go to the doctor?
Where does it hurt? If it hurts in your throat, not necessary, probably. (I am not medical personnel, however!) But if it's down in your chest, yes I would! I know I rolled my eyes at Vicks Vapor Rub growing up, but it does wonders. It has even cleared me up over night when allergies are bad! Stay away from dairy and chocolate and try to drink WARM decaf liquids...tea is excellent...warm water with lemon if you don't like tea. Gargling a few times a day with warm salt water is also good, just don't drink/eat right away (it washes away the salt that can kill germs in your throat). Good luck!!! Steam up your bathroom can help too!
If it hurts in your chest, there is a good chance that it is bronchitis. You do need to go to the dr for that one!!
Ditto, Ann. I really don't have anything to add but I wanted to send ~~feel better vibes~~ your way. So sorry you don't feel good.
I think that is what it is bronchitis. I had a flu one week ago too...
If you recently had the flu and you have a cough now that hurts in your chest, you *could* develop pneumonia. DEFINITELY go to the doctor! I hope you feel better soon!
If you lived in WI, I would definitely tell you to go to the doctor, since Pertussis (whooping cough) has been making the rounds! We swab a couple people a week for whooping cough.
I'd go for sure... Brendan has bronchitus and he's been saying his chest hurt. The only way to get rid of it is to get some antibotics because it's a bacteria, if you don't it could go into pnemonia, especially with your system being down from the flu. ((((feel better soon))))
I hope you get to feeling better. Please go to the doctor.
Now it doesn't hurt. I seem to have stopped coughing. Maybe I just need to rest.
Hope you feel better soon!
