Husband getting deployed
A friend of mine was watching the news last night and they showed a list of all the units getting deployed at Ft. Campbell, my DH's was one of them I'm freaking out right now, but am waiting to hear something from him before I totally flip, I just wish he was home now and could tell me something.
(((HUGS))) Keep us updated and let us know how everything goes. Hopefully the news was wrong because i'm sure your DH would have known before the media.
((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) We are here for you girly. Please keep us updated. I agree with Melissa, he should have known before the media.
So sorry to hear this. Keep us posted. My friends hubby was just deployed.
Wow...what a way to find out!! I would think that your dh would be told before it hit the news!! Does it usually happen that way? In either case, I am sorry that he has to go.
Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted. AJ
There might not be anything to worry about. Many times during this operation the media has incorrectly reported deploying units. Try to take a deep breath, and relax. Your DH should know before the news... so no news is good news in that case!!
You will all be in my prayers. I hope it's a false report.
Ditto Crystal. I hope and pray they were wrong. Hugs
Well, I talked to a couple of other people, and they confirmed what my friend has told me, only I found out that they are starting to deploy units NOW and it ENDS in January! I don't know if my husband knows yet because he's not home at the moment, he's at EFMB school and left last sunday, me might be home tomorrow, or next sunday, I won't know untill he comes home. I'm starting to realize that whatever happens happens, I can't do a whole lot about it and I just need to "suck it up" and deal with it, I knew what I was getting into when I married him. Doesn't make it any easier though.
((((((Melana)))))) I am very sorry.
I'll keep you in my prayers. Ame
Ok, I now know that it's NOT my DH's unit getting deployed, it's a unit that's only one number off from my DH's, so it was a missunderstanding, I'm pretty relieved right now.
Great news!
Whew!
Good to know.
wonderful!!
So glad. And, prayers for the personnel in the troops being deployed and their families.
I'm glad for you Melana..one of my closest friends living in the US was supposed to be deployed in november but was sent out early our last contact was in July. *sighs* I'm praying with you Ginny
I've learned with the military don't believe it until you see it ...
I know you are realieved ! My cousin's husband is 58 yrs old and his National Guard unit was called out about 2 months ago,and now he is being deployed to Iraq for 12 months ,or longer.
What a relief!!
I am very happy for you!
Hi there, just wanted to tell you, we lived in Clarksville, TN while my husband was stationed at Ft Campbell for 6 years, both of my sons were born at blanchfield hospital. We loved it there and really miss it! My husband is now out of the army and we live in Idaho. What does your husband do in the Army? Mine was a flight engineer for chinook helicopters. I am glad your husband isn't getting deployed after all!
That is a relief.
Great news, I bet you are so relieved and happy!
The media knows before the troops do. Our friend was in Iraq. My husband saw on the internet that our friend's unit would be coming home in August and called the friend's wife about it. She said that she'd just seen it on the news. When she spoke to her husband a day or so later he still hadn't heard anything at all about it. It was several more days after that before he got any word from his commanders. But thank the Lord he was safely home by July 31. My heart goes out to you! It takes a huge heart and strong person to be married to a soldier.
