Drawing and Sculpting: Horses in Motion
My 12yo dd is a horse fanatic and maybe that is putting it mildly! She draws horses on everything: restaurant napkins, the church bulletin, her Bible cover, her binder at school, her schoolwork! I just saw a fall brochure for the John Michael Kohler Arts Center yesterday and found out they were having a horse drawing class! I was thrilled and so was she when I told her yesterday. We went to the Arts Center today and signed her up. It starts on Monday and goes for 8 weeks. They also get to draw horses out at the Kohler Stables, so I don't know if she's more excited about doing horse art or actually getting to visit the Kohler Stables! Dawn, if that is a fair sample of your daughter's work, I am seriously impressed.
Dawn, she is so gifted What wonderful talent and what a great experience to let her create juices flow I love art, can't you tell
That is just awesome. ^5 to her.
She drew that over a year ago! It's dated April 2003! LOL! I think she should get a job illustrating children's books! Look at Jan Brett! Jan Brett's Website Here are two more horses, she has on the computer. A miniature horse that is the basis for quite a few bloodlines, Buckaroo
Did you say she was going to teach the class?? She has an amazing talent!! How perfect that you found that course. No doubt she will just love it!

Very Nice. Audrey
Those are grrrreat!!
I think you've found the perfect gift for such a talented young lady.
Do you ever take her to ride from a public stable?
She gets occasional riding lessons. She often gets a gift certificate for birthdays and Christmas.
I showed the pictures to a coworker who raises horses and knows their anatomy very well. She is very, very impressed.
Your dd is very talented.
Thanks, everyone!
