UGH!!!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2004: UGH!!!
By Jelygu on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - 10:44 pm:

Yesterday we got our girl dog fixed. Today the boy was done. We wanted to get them both over with at the same time. Anyway, neither of the dogs can be left outside like they normally are, so we have to lock them up in the house while we are gone. We went to dinner tonight and put Waylon in the laundry room with the pet gate up and Berkeley in the bedroom with the door shut. Boy were we surprised when we pulled up after dinner and saw both of them looking out the window. We walked in and saw that the gate was busted down (Berkeley must have busted Waylon loose). At first this was so funny! Then I walked to the bedroom. Berkeley chewed a hole through my bedroom door, and ripped up the carpet, chewed it up and the pad underneath. It is such a mess and looks so horrible. It will have to look horrible for awhile, no money to fix it right now.
As for Berkeley, we are getting a crate to keep her in until she heals. I wish we would have gotten one earlier!

OMG
I feel for you. While in Denver, CO having my ds our dog chewed up a sofa. Crates are really nice to have.

Ouch! We got a crate for Jasmine when we got her, since we weren't sure of her housetraining status. She is now housebroken and has the run of the house when we are home, but we still crate her when we are gone. It's just nice not coming home to those kinds of surprises! LOL!

She walks right in and sometimes anticipates that we are leaving without her and goes into the crate before we tell her to.
