I Must Brag! LOL
Please bear with me for bragging on my little genius . Scotty brought home some papers for me to allow him to be placed in the gifted program. He is in 6th grade and has always been on honor roll since he started school. I don't have to make him do his homework, he always does it on his own, and usually has it done before he gets home. In 3rd grade we were in a different school district and he was placed in a program called "talent pool", where he went up to the intermediate school (4th grade) two days a week. Since we moved two years ago, he has been in "blocks" with other kids that are on a higher level, but they never tested him for gifted classes. I thought it was ok, because I didn't want to put any stress on him. He was elated when he brought the papers home, so I guess he is up for the challenge again. Yay! I am so proud of him. Gabe does really well, too, but he does not take the initiative to do any more than he has to. Now, if I could just get rid of my ugly acting neighbor, I would be one happy camper.
Brag away! Kudos to Scotty! Maybe that will motivate Gabe to do a little more!
Yes you can brag all you want! That is just wonderful!! You should be very proud.
Wonderful news! I hope he gets to do lots of fun things in the new program.
all Moms are allowed to brag! WTG Scotty.
Thats excellent Brag away!!
Great job!!
Doesn't it feel great??? My oldest was just tested for the GATE program here and I'm so proud of her. I think I'm more proud of her desire to learn than the brains she is learning with. One is a choice, the other is a gift. You should be proud of yourself for providing an environment that fosters his intelligence so well. Good job, Scotty!!!
Thanks everyone!! I really am so proud!
Great news!
Woo Hoo!! WTG Scotty!!!
That`s great!!!!
That is great news!
Way to go Scotty! Excellent news. You must be so proud, Mom
Yeah!!! How proud you must be and yes I agree "all moms are allowed to brag"!!! Good job Scotty & Mom.
Good job, Scotty! My younger daughter, in 6th grade last year, got into the PACE (Program for Academic and Creative Extensions) program last year, too. Last week sometime, she got to sign up for PACE activities to do this year. She signed up to help with the school webpage and to help in the "Charger Mart" where they sell school spirit clothing and other stuff.
Great Job Scotty! Congratulations. Brag on, Mom! Audreyj
