Hey!!! Once of you Louisiana Cajun lovin' ladies... I need help!
My friend is making Jambalaya for dinner tonight and im suppose to bring something over. What goes good with Jambalaya? Thanks! (I would've posted this i the recipe discussion but I want to make sure it was seen in time)
Bread, salad, corn (esp. brushed with butter and sprinkled with Tony Cachere's cajun seasoning)
French bread, and potato salad. Desert is always good too! =)
Cornbread is always yummy with jambalaya!!
corn on the cobb and salad and cornbread are wonderful suggestions a hot fudge pudding cake and banana puddin also ...
I would bring over garlic bread prepared, but not baked/broiled yet. I use french bread and on each slice spread butter, garlic powder, and paprika. When you get there, pop it under the broiler for about 2-3 minutes (watch closely) and your done! I would also bring corn on the cob or cornbread - goes great with Jambalaya! You could also bring salad or a dessert. Any of these or a combination of these would be fine! Let us know what you chose and how the dinner went. Have fun, Melissa!
Well....How did it go, Melissa?!
It went great, I loved the Jambalaya and DH's face was beet red from how hot it was. I love spicy food. I didnt make any sides, I just brought over a chocolate cheescake that I made (and posted in the recipe discussion). That was a hit too! I dont really like beer but it goes good with Jambalaya!
