I'm back to work full time. Due to Nate's schedule (24 hours on, 48 hours off) he is at home with the kids most of the time. We were talking about his day yesterday, some work on potty training, and stuff like that. I asked him how he liked being a SAHD, and he said... IT'S KIND OF BORING SOMETIMES!!! I was stunned, since I was a SAHM for so long, and boring isn't what comes to mind. He said "When they nap I have nothing to do." I always cherished nap time so I could have "me" time, but he seems to get bored without them. Granted, he spent most of his adult life in the Army, so he's used to activity. I must admit he's great with them, and keeps them busy but I need to find him a quiet hobby while they nap!!

I am never bored, my 2 1/2 year old sees to that & when he sleeps I read if dd is asleep too.

Gosh, nap time was the only time I was able to clean the house when DD was home. And if I was lucky, I'd get a nap in too.

Although, I do remember being totally bored when I first quit my job during the last month of pregnancy. I couldn't figure out what people did with so much time on their hands. I guess it is just that adjustment time. He'll be filling nap time soon with something.

I guess you'd be considered lucky in a way. I could never convince DH to stay home with DD for *god forbid* a WHOLE Day!!!! I think he goes crazy staying indoors.
But I wouldnt consider myself bored. Theres ALWAYS something us Moms can find to do, LOL!
Its nice that he enjoys the kids to much... you caught a winner!!

Lol! He cleans, he's running errands today, and usually does have a honey-do list. He's just high energy. Glad to know I'm not alone in feeling nap time is precious!!

Crystal, you can send him here anytime! Dh is such a slug that giving him a honey-do list is just a joke! I hope the job is going well and that whatever your news is...it's good!
