HELP!!! Our computer is a mess Richard is the king of downloads and junk. I want to clear off my computer and start from scratch. I have the 4 disks that came with the computer last yr so I can reinstall everything so how do I go about doing it? I know everything I want to save I should put on disk but what else needs to be done?

Can I just go to the control panel and erase all the programs and then stick the disks back in and reinstall them help me please!!!

I have a Dell and mine was slow, slow, slow- I called them and they walked me through the reinstallation - like a partial one. It runs like brand new, but I did have to reinstall everything I had on it.

Before totally revamping try thorough scans first. Scan disk, defrag, Virus scan, Adaware, Spybot, etc..
