ROFL........How weird!!!!!!
OMGoodness! How can anyone live like that? "crazymom" is right LOL
Belive this or not.....I can remember a time when dh's ex mil's house and his ex wife's house looked similar to this!!!!! How do people live like that??
I know someone in my extended family who has a house FILLED from wall to wall, from floor to ceiling with boxes and collectibles, with only a small walking pathway. It's terribly odd.
Weird. I couldn't stand having all that stuff around.
I wonder what she was like before e-bay came into being.
Someone in my family has a house like that, birds and all. Plus some dogs, and it's not as organized into boxes. She doesn't even collect on Ebay, it's all stuff from a bigger house pre-divorce. Strange!
It's really a type of OCD behavior called hoarding---very sad and unfortunately won't get better without professional counseling.
wow! That house inspired me to clean my own!
My aunt's home is like this. She has 4 dogs and 2 cats also. It is so sad to visit her. She is totally overwhelmed by it but she can't bear to throw anything away. Some of us have tried to help her clean it up but it causes her to have massive panic attacks. Since it really isn't all that dirty, just FULL, her therapist says to leave it. I guess we will just have a huge mess to deal with when she passes on.
I realize that this situation is very sad, but that has got to be the funniest site I have ever visited!!! The comments are the best part! I have been reading it for over and hour, and laughing until I almost wet my pants. I must say, the room I'm sitting in doesn't look much better than most of that house. Thank goodness it's the only place in my house that looks like that!!!
I didn't know this was an ocd behavior..... I know several people who do this or something similiar... I wonder if medication helps?
Yikes! Reminds me of my grandma's house and parts of my FIL's house. My grandma used to sleep on the couch, too, because her bed was all full of stuff. DH's dad had stacks and stacks and stacks of Popular Mechanics from the 60's and 70's in his attic. It's amazing how much nicer his house looks, since so much stuff has been thrown away! He would never let my SIL clean anything up when he was still living!
