Do you blog?
My DH is a blogging fool and I've just recently gotten into it. Here's mine: http://pamela-august.blogspot.com/ If you have a blog and are willing to share, please post your site addy. I really enjoy reading them, esp people I "know." Thanks!
I've kept a journal off and on since I got married and about a year ago I started keeping it on the computer, but it's not online. sorry I know many people do it, but doesn't it make you a little uncomfortable to think that anyone can read it? Maybe I'm just still too wary of the internet. I should probably get with the times...
Pam, I'm enjoying your blog! This made me laugh: "See... I didn't remember where my blog was or how to find it. It has been 6 months and 1 day since I last posted. As Robert was gloating in his blogginess (and embellishing the truth with a reported win in a high-stakes Trouble tournament), I decided to track down my blog and conjure up my username and password from the recesses of my cortex. Okay, so I had to break down and retrieve my username/password and get Robert's help at that. I never claimed to be a computer geek." I actually just started one two weeks ago. Be warned -- I can be a real pottymouth. *bats eyes innocently* My Blog
Omg, I just noticed your blog's description is almost the same as my blog's title! You - Random Thoughts and Ramblings, me - Random Thoughts and Crap... LOL!
I hope you don't mind if I add your link to my "Favorite Blogs" list on my blog so I can keep it handy.
Cheekymama, you have created a monster! While checking out your blog, I looked at the blog of the Wally World guy and I have been reading for hours! Too funny!
Pam, I have to say, I'm a little surprised! LOL I had only just *heard* of blogging in the last few months. My IT guy at work was telling me about it - apparently his wife's sister blogs and says a lot of unflattering stuff about her in it, which keeps his wife upset all the time. That's my only experience with this so far. Call me clueless!
I've never heard of it. So it is an online journal? I didn't link to site for fear of pop ups (just not in the mood to kill lots of windows today)
No popups Dana. BTW, how are you feeling??
Dawn's Blog I have my own domain and could install blogging pages, like at Live-journal, but I'm going to have to take some time to sit down and figure it out. Right now, just quicker to do it with html. I figure people can add comments on my tagboard!
I never get tired of Wally World guy!
Found reading Wally World guy: 7-22-00 - I saw a commercial for Wally World on tv today. I have to wonder where Wally World films their commercials. At our Wally World the associates never smile like that, and the merchandise is never perfectly setup like that. I have also never seen a customer point at price and smile as if posing for a family portrait. At our Wally World customers come up to us and ask us "Do you work here?" I would consider it obvious when we are wearing a blue vest with a name tag. Yeah, they don't shoot those commercials at my Walmart, either. Our greeters barely greet anyone! LOL! Sometimes you are lucky to be able to find a sales associate when you need one! None of the employees ever look as happy as the ones on the commercial.
Bumping up -- aren't there any more Bloggers out there?
"I know many people do it, but doesn't it make you a little uncomfortable to think that anyone can read it? Maybe I'm just still too wary of the internet. I should probably get with the times... " It doesn't make me uncomfortable, because I don't give out our personal info. I refer to us as ~A~, ~T~, and ~J~ -- not even our full first names, and never our last name. For our location, I don't get any more specific than "NE Ohio". I post pics, but there's no identifying info in them (If ~T~ were to be wearing a team jersey, for example, I'd block out the team name, number, etc., before posting it).
When I started writing my journal on the computer, it was with the idea that one day my kids (or grandkids) may want to read it and I can't not add personal info. I may change my way of thinking one day though, who knows. I'm just not there yet.
If that's the case, most Blog-hosting sites give you the option of making yours private (unavailable to the general public). You could keep a Blog and just make sure your family has access to your password.
Ok, I started my blog, mainly because Cori had recommended Anita's blog, and I found it quite entertaining. I too, tend to have a potty mouth, so you have been warned. A Peek Into My Insanity... http://twinsmom603.blogspot.com/ Sorry about the paste, but I don't know how to do hyperlink!!
I hate to say this crystal, but what if you ex get a wind of this. Do you need to be on better terms with him or worse terms with him? Plus what if the courts get a copy of it? I would try a private journal.
Honestly Feona, there isn't much he can use it for now. He's been in trouble so much, and I haven't specifically identified him in any way the Army could use, or even that he could use in court. I was awarded custody, and the worst he can do is ask me to stop writing it. Though, I did change his nickname to more general "X" because last night I was MAD, and I shouldn't call him names. I appreciate the concern though...
Cute pics of you and your kids. To make a link clickable: \newurl{http://twinsmom603.blogspot.com/,Twinsmom's Blog} \ newurl (means it opens in a new page){url, description } Twinsmom's Blog
Thanks Dawn!!
OK, I've got one too. Anita's such a trendsetter! I also have a bit of a potty-mouth. Just started...If you want to check it out, Cori's Blog
