Coupon Question
I collect coupons to send to military overseas. I have asked several of my friends to save their coupons for me so I can clip and send them too. Well, one of my friends remarried not too long ago and her new dh is quite a packrat. He never throws anything away! Recently he gave me a huge coupon holder full of "No Expiration" coupons. I have had a great time going through these because some of them date back to the early 1980s and some items are no longer made and others have drastically changed their packaging. Looking at how the the food industry has changed in the last 20 years was neat. Anyway, many of these coupons do not have a bar code. They have a upc number, but not the bar code. I don't want to waste the postage sending a huge pile of coupons that can't be used for lack of a bar code. Does anyone know if these coupons would be accepted without the bar code?
Sorry, I have NO idea, but I'll bump this up for you!
Thanks Amy! I am hoping that at least one person on here works in a grocery store or a store like Walmart and knows the answer. Bumping again...
At the commissary if the coupon won't scan they just key it in by hand. I would think they would be fine.
I would think that if the exact product is still available that it would be fine.
I would think it would be fine too, but before I sent them all, just take one down to your local store next time you go in and ask them!! Or you could even give them a call!!
