Does anyone know where Sylvania, Ohio is? Are you anywhere near there? The reason I ask is Robin found a classring from Sylvania Southview HS, class of '84 today. He found it in the dirt at the edge of a sidewalk at his school. We're going to try and find the owner (we're thinking she must be local) but after digging a bit on the internet I found the school in Ohio. There is a name engraved on the inside, but if she's married it wouldn't help much here (for us, I'm sure she'd know her maiden name! lol). It'd be neat to reunite this ring with it's owner. I know I'd be upset if I lost my classring (even though it will never fit me again! ). I guess I could always write/email the school, too. Anyway, just wondered if anyone knew where the town/school is.

I'd contact the school. They no doubt have records of graduating students and can likely track down the owner, or possibly a family member.

Just curious, did you look her up on classmates.com? You can click on "search" and enter her name and school and see if you get a match.

We found her! The person I email contacted her sister, who I'm guessing still lives in Ohio, and Wendy still lives near here! I've got an address that's only about 10 minutes from me. I'm so surprised to have found her so quickly. Thanx for the help.

This is what her sister wrote to me. I called her, she remembers the band being broken but she does not remember when she lost it, it has been seem time. I'd love for Robin to be able to physically give it to her, since he's the one that found it. That would be so neat for him. I'll let you know what happens.

Cat - I am sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I live about 40 miles from Sylvania and since my dh injured his finger - we have been up there 2-3 times per week. It is Toledo - just an area of it - kinda of like the west side. I am glad you found it's owner. Neat story!

Remember this??? I finally got in touch with Wendy and mailed her ring to her a couple weeks ago. I just got this email this morning.

Just wanted to let you know I got the ring.
