DATE night!!
Eve and her DH are taking the kids over night tonight. (THANKS, Eve!!) DH and I are planning on eating dinner out and meandering aimlessly at the mall. Then we'll rent a movie and cuddle at home. Just think what we can do in the house without kids! The possibilities are endless! WOO HOO!!
Oh wow... aren't you lucky! Have fun!
You can read a book without being interrupted, use the bathroom alone, and complete a home improvement project.....ooohhhh, now I know what you mean *eg* Have a blast!!! Eve, you're a sweetie!
Have fun!
Have fun!!
I'm so jealous!!!!! My youngest is 6 yo and I can't even remember the last time we got rid of her...or all of them at one time!!! Enjoy yourself and have an absolutely wonderful evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have lots of "fun"!!! It sounds like a nice ADULT evening. I'm jealous. Eve, when are you coming out to CA?
ROMANTIC VIBES BEING SENT YOUR WAY
Sounds like fun!! Have a great time and enjoy some kidless time!! Eve you are welcome to PA anytime you are ready
Have a great time! I'm feeling a bit jealous
Trina, Hope you have a wonderful evening!
I hope you had fun
Well, Trina...how was your evening? Maybe just a general overview...we don't need ALL the juicy details!
We always go to sleep early when we don't have the kids lol = )
Have FUN! I am jealous.
It is really exciting when you have the house to your self with your dh, the other night we had one night, only because I shipped them all to grama's the girls are older now, so it is getting harder and harder to get them all to go together so you can have an evening alone. If you get more than one night, all of a sudden it does not seem fun anymore the house is to quiet, and you feel kind of lost. We have had extra kids here this summer, and only my youngest has had a few sleep overs at her friends house, which makes a difference when one child is gone for the night. Our kids are getting old eneough now, for us to go for a night, if the youngest is over at a friends house, still not comfortable leaving her home with the other girls. Hope you had fun trina, treasure the moments
So................How did it go?????
House to myself? What's that? With the big golf match in town this past week, DH and I were both working LOTS of hours and barely seeing each other! Lucky you! We are going to fix up our basement bathroom. DH says we need to pick out a new toilet paper holder and a new towel rack. We haven't had time to even go to Home Depot together! Tomorrow, I work 7:15 til 5pm. He works 4pm-1am. On Tuesday, I'm driving my kids up to Door County to visit my parents for a few days. DH can't come with me! (I'm doing a round trip. Will be 5 hours of driving, total.) So, yeah, we are making lots of money, but we have no time to spend it! LOL!
Thanks, everyone! We had a GREAT evening! *Heavy Sigh* We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen, with wine, dessert and everything! Then we meandered aimlessly around the mall. Later we watched "50 First Dates" with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Not the best movie I've seen but enjoyable. It was such a treat to hang our parenting hats up for awhile and enjoy couple time! Perhaps TMI, but I had forgotten how much FUN it is to shower together! *EG* THANKS J & Eve! We would be happy to reciprocate any time. The kids had a blast and didn't want to come home. I'm sure Eve was glad to get her quiet house back. LOL! They were brave and took all three kids out to eat at the 99. THANK YOU!
SOOOO glad to hear you had a great time....and equally as jealous. We have 8 kids in our house right now!!!! I'm surviving! Actually loving it cuz I hadn't seen my boys in so long!!
Glad you had fun!
Glad you had a wonderful time. I am definitely jealous. Since we moved back in Dec., dh and I haven't had any alone time. Well, you have inspired me to get off my butt and call the girl down the street. She was recommended by my neighbors for babysitting.
Glad you had a good evening! We enjoyed keeping the kids for you. Syd had a ball! She enjoyed telling Mrs. Smith today that B slept over. And going out for dinner was purely selfish. No dishes, everyone can get exactly what they want. It was worth it! LOL
