Club Libby Lu
I'm taking my 9 year old birthday girl along with a few of her friends to Club Libby Lu tomorrow for her birthday. They do makeovers, make perfume, all girly stuff. Has anyone been to one? They have a website www.ClubLibbyLu.com Thanks!
My daughter was just at Libby Lu for a 5 year old birthday party, which in my opinion was a bit young. It took some convincing and I don't think she really got into it like some of the other 5 year olds did. The most she's ever done is paint her nails and toes and wear some flavored chapstick! She picked the hairdo that had a huge hair extension. When her makeover was complete she really looked pretty. It was kind of frightening to get a glimpse into the future, if you know what I mean! I'm sure your daughter will absolutely love it at 9 years old. Have a great time!
Thanks for posting. That looks like something my dd would like for her next birthday (she'll be 9). Just to let you know, the address is www.ClubLibbyLu.com. I went to www.LibbyLu.com first and found out that wasn't it.
Thanks, Stacie about the correct website. I changed it in my post above. My dd and her four friends had a blast. The Club part is a cute store inside of a department store. It has clothing, purses, make-ups, frames, bedding, etc for sale, too. When they first arrived they were each given a cute purse-type box in which to pick out their five items. They could choose from an entire aisle. Either sunglasses, hair things, make-ups, cloth headbands, key chains, etc. It was all quality things, too, not the junky things you can buy as party favors from Walmart. Each item had a price of about $4.00. Then my dd chose what type of makeover they would all get. She picked Party Pop Princess. All the girls went into a changing room and came out wearing two piece silver spandex dance costumes! They all sat down, had their hair twisted up into a cute style, glitter lip goss, shadow, nails painted and sprayed with a final coating of glitter! They selected a pair of sunglasses to wear and each could wear a boa from one of the racks. They poised for pictures on this huge princess seat and then went out into the department store to dance to loud music of the Hokey Pokey and another song, while a large crowd gathered and sang happy Birthday to dd. She loved that part! She's such a ham. Then they each got to make either a lip gloss, body glitter, bubble bath, nail polish or perfume. Another huge hit! It was an hour at this time. The girls changed. As the birthday girl my dd also received a pink pillow with an autograph book and feather pen. Her friends signed the book along with the two young women that were in charge of the makeover party. Also at Libby Lu, if you sign up for a store member card, like a frequent customer card, for each $5. they stamp the card. When you spend $100, you get a $20. store voucher. My dd was able to pick out a knitted cape she has been seeing at all of the stores! (I know this is long.) All the girls had a great time. I'm thrilled it went so well and thrilled that it is over! I took my 35mm camera so no pics yet but my girlfriend took her digital and will email me some soon. I'll try to send some to Karen so she can post them for me, if she has the time.
It sounds like it was a blast! I can't wait to see the pics.
This sounds like such a good time for all those girly-girls like my dd. She will be 8 next year. Do you think that is old enough to enjoy it? How much was it for the 5 girls? I need to find out if it is offered anywhere around here.
