My dd(8) loves her new teacher. Thank God because last year was a struggle because her teacher was the pits!

My ds(barely 5) loved school. He has the same teacher my dd did in Kindergarten, so that is wonderful and he is in class with his bestfriends from church and pre-school (he went two hours a day, three days a week last year). He also sits at the same table as they do.

He was thrilled. Gave me no problems at all getting ready and was making us hurry up in his sister's class so he could get to his. Then he totally ignored us in class. Paid no attention to us at all and would barely give me a hug in front of his friends! He has talked about it all day long and can't wait to go back.

This coming from a child who will not stay away from home at all over night, not even at his grandparents who live next door! He is so clingy, but today was a breeze!

I'm so happy that they are both happy. It makes it sooooo much easier!

Just wanted to share. Good luck to all of you other moms out there getting ready to go through this with your pre-schoolers and kindergarteners!

Wow, a long time ago, I sent a third grader and a kindergartener to school, too! (7 years ago!) Wow, time flies. I'm glad it went well!

LOL! Must be a common age spread....once upon a time, Christopher was in third grade and Megan was in kindergarten......now they are going into 11th and 8th! It doesn't take long. And now I also have another third grader and a second grader, too!

My dd went to kindergarten last year....with a lot of kids she was in a 'head start' preschool program with the year before. She loved it. She starts first grade the 26th, again with some of the same kids in her class. It's so exciting...I think more for me than her. Enjoy your babies!!!
