Freezing cooked food
How do I freeze a cooked lasagna? Is it the same as uncooked? I made two lasagnas this morning and asked dh (not so "dear" right now, but that's another post I won't get into today) to put one in the oven at 11 (before I get home from church). Well, he cooked both. I freeze uncooked ones all the time (because I always make two when making it), but never one that's already cooked. When you take it out of the freezer do you just thaw it and warm it up? How long? I guess that'll teach me to ask dh to do anything. Silly me...
Yes--it is the same as uncooked. Just wrap top of pan with foil and freeze. To reheat stick in 350 degree oven 45 minutes to an hour (until bubbling around edges) I do this (on purpose) all the time. I love making ahead and freezing meals for the nights I really do not want to think about "Whats for dinner". Yvonne
Yes, I do this also Cat.Like Yvonne said,350 degree`s for about 45 min. Btw , how have you been? Has your Mom visited yet? I noticed that you have not posted in awhile hope all is O.K ! Though you are probally caught up with the BUSY summer like the rest of us .
Thanx, Yvonne and Sue. I put it in the freezer so I guess we'll see how it turns out. Sue, my mom visited last month for two weeks and things have been very busy. I have two new kids that started today (child care) and another new one starting next week, along with school starting this Thursday. So needless to say I haven't been on here much lately. Dh was on his best behavior while my mom was here and it kind of extended for a couple weeks, but now he's back to the same old, same old. I'm working on it. One good thing--Saturday I went ahead and got my belly button pierced! I've been wanting it for a year now, but waiting to lose that "last 10lbs". Well, I haven't lost it yet, but hopefully this will motivate me. I've got to get going, but will try and get on here in the next few days with more of an update. Thanx for thinking of me.
