What is the official name of what military folks call sh*t on a shingle? It's liked canned meat in sauce on top of toast?

Actually, I like chipped beef on toast. I prefer to make it thick, so I'd use less milk, or maybe not use all the cream sauce. Some people (ugh) add peas to it. But I like it - without peas, obviously.

We call it Chipped Beef on Toast too. I have some dried beef in my pantry right now so that I can make it soon. We usually have it for breakfast.

I also only know it by Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast and I used to like it alot when I was a kid. I've totally forgotten about that dish.
