Intoxicated Woman Crashes Van With Kids in CarBy Brandee Coleman
WHAG-TVJuly 24 - JEFFERSON COUNTY, WV- Concerned Wal-Mart employees attempted to stop a woman who they believed was drunk before she got behind the wheel.

It happened around noon Saturday when store employees noticed Brenda Nash, who appeared to be intoxicated, climb into her full-sized Chevy van with two kids inside. They called police, but Nash took off as sheriff`s deputies arrived.

A short chase followed, but not wanting to endanger the children, police called off the pursuit on Chestnut Hill Road. However, just a short time later, Nash crashed the van into an embankment on Mountain Road near Harpers Ferry.

Nash was flown to the hospital and is in critical condition. The two kids in the van sustained minor injuries.

Thank heaven the kids only sustained minor injuries. And I'm really glad the Wal-Mart employees called the police - so many people would not want to get involved and would just walk away and do nothing.

The Wal-Mart employee's need to be commended for calling.
I hope she gets the help she needs.
