Arg!! Ds just erased everything that I just wrote!! It was a lot too! Okay, to make a long story short: So far in his backpack or mine I'm taking movies and his Leappad, and a change of clothes for him, but I need more ideas for entertainment and snacks for us. I'm on my way to Target soon.

For a long trip I always pack surprises and every few hours I let my kids reach into the goodie bag for a special surprise.
A few ideas:
coloring book with crayons
matchbox cars or polly pockets
books
flashcards
travel games
cd player with cds
treats: gummy worms, bottled water, fish crackers, etc...
At Target I found a fun game/book set that is Spongebob or Fairly odd parents and it comes with a magic pen (I believe it changes color)
It was $7.99 in the book section near the coloring books.
