It's official.... i'm TTC
Well, not actively, LOL but yesterday was my last day of birth control and Tues. is my annual ob checkup and i'm not getting a refill. We'll see how long this takes since it only took 3 weeks of trying to conceive DD. We're letting nature take it's course and not worrying about it. It will happen when God says it will
Melissa! That's wonderful! I'm so excited for you. Good luck, and many baby vibes coming your way Are you hoping for a boy or a girl? And baby names picked out yet? Okay, maybe I'm jumping the gun - I just love hearing about the possibility of a new MV baby! I *wish* that I could be TTC, but I think 3 is enough for us. Congratulations on your decision!
Have fun trying!
That is awesome news. Good luck! Of course, keep us posted.
LOL Amy, you're definitely not jumping the gun, especially since DH and I have been talking about it for so long. We are hoping for a boy. If it is we will name him Connor Michael. We would be happy with a girl too but havn't though about names. DH says hes given himself time to train his "little guys" to make sure we have a boy, LOL! And everyone keep those baby vibes coming, but not too soon. Little miss Kaitlyn was conceived around Aug.19th so I don't want close birthdays!
Bumping for Melissa!
Good baby boy vibes sent your way. Good luck.
Good luck! I know what you mean about not wanting close birthdays... My oldest dd's birthday is 7/27 and 3rd dd's is 7/29, youngest dd is 12/20 and our new son is 12/24 two birthday parties in one month is a killer.
I hope you have FUN, Melissa! Connor is a great name. If my youngest had been a boy, we wuld have named him that. I knew Laci Peterson and she was going to name her baby boy that also. I don't blame you about the close b-days either. My dds' are only 5 days apart and it makes me nuts. Let me know how your dh is training his little guys, I have a friend who is desperate for a little boy.
Have fun and let us know when the rabbit dies
Tink, its funny you mention Laci Peterson. I always liked the name Connor and after everything happened with her I told myself i'd dedicate my little boys name in Connors memory. I guess with me being pregnant at that time it hit a little too close to home for me.
Good luck to you!! Here's our theory on how to get the "little guys" to give you a boy or a girl. While I don't know if it's scientific, it has seemed to work for us LOL For a boy.....save up the little guys for a week or so and then let them go right when you are ovulating. Boy sperm don't live as long as girl sperm. So, if you let them go several days before you ovulate, the boys will die off leaving all girl swimmers ready and waiting for the egg. So, our slogan was "save 'em and and let 'em go!" LOL I'm sure it's just a wives tale.....but like I said, it worked for us!
Here is one more that I *swear* by!! Even if you aren't pregnant right now: Get a needle. Thread it so it dangles about 5-6 inches or so. Hold the thread still until the needle stops moving. Carefully move your opposite wrist under the needle. Leave about 1/2 inch to an inch between your wrist and the needle. Don't move the thread....just let the needle go by itself. It should give you the order of your kids! If it goes in a circle, that means girl. (yours should go in a circle first, because you had a girl first). If it goes back and forth that means a boy. It will stop when your list is complete. Mine goes: girl, girl, boy, girl. So far it is right on. And, we are currently planning to have one more baby. (and I'm really hoping for a girl!) If it goes in a circle for longer than 2-3 seconds, I would say a baby girl is on the way again! It should switch to the next child every 2-3 seconds.
Good Luck!
Great news, Melissa! BTW-Have you read about the Shettles method? Do a quick search. It's a method for "choosing" a boy or girl. Kind of interesting.
Well i've got two boys lol and i don't know if it was luck or what but i found getting pregnant easier by holding my legs up in the air after we were done = ) aren't you beyond excited that i shared that with the whole wide world lol = )
LOL Brandy, I see the images.....
I'm so happy for you and your husband's decision to plan on having another child. Children are a heritage and a blessing. I see you're a USMC wife, thank your hubby for me for sacrificing the many luxuries of home to fight for our freedoms. Our son is a C-130 USMC pilot stationed in NC. We miss him very much and I know it's even harder for a wife and children not to be by their loved ones. Enjoy having your hubby home! Rose
That is so great. When I went off the BC I got pregnant in two weeks cause I think you are really fertile right after u discontinue the pill. I hope everything works out great! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
How did you doctor's appointment go?
The doctors appt. well well considering it was the ob/gyn!!! I dread those appts but also realize how important they are. I get all my test results Friday and if those are all clear im good to go!
I was going to mention Dr. Shettle's book, "How to Choose the Sex of Your baby", but Eve beat me to it! LOL We have three girls and adhered to his advice for a boy and our last baby was a boy. My girlfriend who told me about the book, had had three boys and then their girl. It's worth a read through! Good luck and have fun TTC
My sister and her DH did the saving them up trick too, they had read it in a book on conception. And she did have a boy. Don't know how well it worked or if it was just fate but... And she has gotten pregnant with both kids with in weeks of stopping her pills. She tried for four months to get PG and was having no luck DR put her on the BC for three months and with in two weeks after she quit taking them she was pregnant. So when they decided to try to have another she went in and was put on the pill again and she was pregnant with in the first month off of the BC again. Something about the pills regulating the cycle and making it easier to get PG. Best of luck..
Great News Melissa. Hope everything goes as planned!
