Military Wife Checklist
I know there are a few, most I can remember, some I forget. So, if you have or have had (ex or retired) any military man in your life how about listing: (omit ones you'd rather not share)
How long is service? 4 years
Which branch? USMC
How long married? 3 years in Oct.
Children? 1 beautiful DD
Home or Deployed? home for now, thank God!
And some great bigs hugs to you all because we surely do have a hard job.
How long is service? 19 years
Which branch? USAF
How long married? 12 years this past Feb.
Children? 2 boys, 8 and 10 (almost 9 and 11)
Home or Deployed? Home and probably won't be deployed due to medical profile (shoulder surgery a few months ago--still in physical therapy), and by the time he's off the profile he'll be too close to retirement to deploy.
How long in service? 3 years, 5 months
Which branch? Army Active
How long married? 3 years, 2 months
Children? 3 boys, ages 5, 2, and 9mos
Home or Deployed? Home. Was in Iraq last year, should not be deploying any time soon due to upcoming back surgery.
How long in service? 6 years
Which branch? Navy
How long married? 18 years this past Feb.
Children? 3 dds
Dh has been out since 1990, his years of service were from 1984-1990. His rotation was Norfolk, VA - Gaeta, Italy. He was on the U.S.S. Puget Sound - AD 38 for most of those years.
His best (naval) friend Todd passed away in 1999 from a commercial diving accident. We miss him dearly.

Home or Deployed-Deployed so far for 1 year almost 5 months he'll be gone until Feb.05 if not longer.He was supposed to get out in Oct.03 = ( but left in Feb.03
On this 4th of July (and every day!!) I want to thank all of the service men and women (and their wives and husbands too!!) for all that you have done and continue to do for this country! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!

I certainly appreciate all the sacrifices our soldiers make for our country, and the spouses who support them. I read in the Killeen Daily Herald today that a few thousand former soldiers on IRR are being activated for Iraq, most of them from TX. Thank God Nate's 8 year commitment is up next month! I'm not sure if he would have been called up or not, but he was an infantry NCO, and that scares me!! Brandy, I didn't realize your DH was deployed... I must have been out to lunch on that one! I'll be praying for all the families who are deployed or facing deployment!!

I'm so sorry Kristie. Just think of all the good he will be doing for his country and your beautiful children. You know that we are all here for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. My good friend has a hubby there right now. He has been gone for 4 months now.
Thank You Rayanne, I have a good friend over there right now that may miss the birth of his 4th and last child. How much longer are they expecting your friends dh to be gone? I am very fortunate that the USMC deployments are 7 months and not longer.

Home or Deployed? Home, retired and needs to get out more LOL
He's supposed to get a 15day leave at the end of September or beginning of October. He should be home to stay around October of 2005.
ROFL, Bea! I kwym (needs to get out more). 
Thats good that they will bring him home for a visit. So am I reading this right, he is supposed to be over ther for a year and a half? Thats a long time.
I know. He has twio children also. One just turned 4 and the other will be turning 1 in two weeks. He is really upset that he is missing both birthdays.
