E. coli and hamburgers
I just received an email from the Virginia Dept. of Health informing me they have used one of my stock photos on their website (one I had taken of grilled burgers.) They used it for an article warning about the dangers of E. coli in ground beef/hamburgers. A family member of mine just spent weeks in the hospital suffering with E. coli on intravenous antibiotics. She had gotten it from a hamburger she had eaten at a fast food restaurant. So my post is for two reasons: 1) I'm so proud to see my photo used for such a good cause! 2) To recommend that everyone read the article to protect themselves and their family. Here's the link: http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/
Pam, that is excellent!! E Coli is something that should be taken very seriously. You must be so proud of yourself ^5 to you
Wow, nice photo! Do you get paid when one of your stock photos is used?
That is just so cool, on both points. Good work!
Great job on both accounts! My ds was out of school last year for 8 weeks and in and out of the hospital with complications from EColi.
Nice Photo!
Thanks for the info, good thing I prefer turkey burgers!
Awesome photo, Mom!
Cool!
Great job!! The photo looks great!
LOL Good job Pam...
That is a great photo!! E. Coli is scary... between that and Mad cow I get so nervous about beef!
Very nifty! There is a book by Robin Cook (medical thriller) about the beef industry and he did a lot of research at packing houses before writing it. Very eye opening! I pretty much can't tolerate ground beef since my second pregnancy.
Pam, I was reading that book on a trip to Florida one time. I had the hardest time eating along the way! LOL
