Longest hour ever!!
I had a mole removal last week. I have lots of moles but I kept thinking about this particular one. I got a phone call from the doc's office (usually means results aren't good) I may be jumping to conclusions, but none the less, I am so nervous my tummy feels sick!! I hope it's nothing. Thanks for reading!!
BTW, I forgot to mention the doc's office is closed for lunch!

Oh man how cruel. Hoping for the best.
I just found out that I have to have a mole removed too!! It sure is a scary thing!! My doc is pretty sure it isn't melanoma but he thinks it is the basal cell carcinoma so he wants it removed right away. Mine is from being a sun worshipper for more than 20 years. I'm sure it won't be the only one that I deal with in the years to come, unfortunately. I wish I could take that suntanning time back and I do make sure that my DD is slathered with sunscreen if she even thinks about being in the sun. Let us know how it turns out!!! My fingers will be tightly crossed for a good result!!
Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope it is only good news.
How is everything. I said a prayer for you.
Lynn how did it go?
I have one that I noticed just last night, has changed and is rough and scaly - cause for concern. I was also a sun worshipper for most of my life.
I have had two melanomic moles removed and I had two sunburns as a kid but I wasn't ever a sunworshipper. Mine both sounded like yours, Karen,. Please have that looked at soon! It isn't fun to have to have them removed or wait for the results but I have been lucky that they were both self-contained. I'll hope for better results for you. *fingers crossed*
Have it looked at Karen. I have a body check once a year because I have lots of moles, loved the sun and my dad has skin cancer.
Mamaroze...how did it go?
I have kept checking to see how it went, let us know as soon as you get a chance.
bump...
You are all so sweet. I'm sorry I panicked. The reason for the phone call from the doc's office was to let me know there was no trace of cancer. I let a doctoral student do the stitches so maybe the doctor thought she would go out of her way to let the receptionist pass on the good news to me. Usually the rule of thumb is that the doctor will only call a patient if there is a problem. Sorry, I just panicked because for a year I have kept thinking of this mole on my arm. It was changing from red to beige and I even had a little pain in that arm. Just coincidence. BTW for those of you that need a mole removal, it did not hurt at all! A little pinch of freezing and that was it. Better to get the mole removed than to wonder about it. Thanks again! Lynn
Great news! I have been checking in all day too for an update!
Glad to hear everything is fine!
I am glad everything is okay.
Good news! I had one removed last year, but the derm did it with a laser and there was no stitching involved. He just burned it off. Very cool. I didn't have the anxiety you did, though. He told me from the get go that it was nothing to worry about, so I knew before the pathology report came back. Sorry for your scare, but glad you're ok. Ame
Thanx for the update!
Good News!
Great news Lynn!! Thanks for letting us know that you are OK. Thanks also for letting us know that the removal didn't hurt!! I wondered about that!!!
