Punishments for fighting
Anyone have any? i'm tired of my boys always fighting errrggg
oh yeah they are 10 and 13 but i'm sure alot of you knew that = )
at that age sometimes you just need to make sure they get their separate space. Do they have their own bedrooms? If they share, they may just be in each other's face too much. Make a schedule giving each of them alone time in the bedroom without allowing the other to bother them.
yeah they have their own rooms but alex wants to be in nick's room with him ...and when they are in the front room watching tv or something nick will bug alex or vice versa...today they have been half way decent after i did this post lol maybe i should make a post every day = ) Thanks
I really believe that the more you pay attention, the more kids fight. My Mom would say, "Fight nice...I hate peace."
I give my children either boxing gloves or a time out from each other. Both make them sooo mad. Good Luck.
thanks = )
My kids have their own rooms, but they want to be in each other's all the time. When they start bickering, or getting at each other's throats too much, I split them up and tell them to go to their own rooms to play for awhile. It always calms them down. I don't discipline them necessarily, just tell them that they need to be away from each other for a little while.
Make them sit on the couch and hold hands.
= ) that would be funny crystal i might try that tomorrow lol = )
My ex's mom made her 3 boys hold hands, worked like a charm. I do it with my kids sometimes/ .
they didn't really fight today yay so i wasn't able to do this with them yet but i will lol i even told them about it and they looked at me like um i don't think so lol = )
That's what makes it so effective with boys. Mads is like "Ok, I'll hold his hand!!" but Shane hates it!!
