Need some quick "grab it" healthy snacks.........
Not suffering morning sickness, but just have no desire to eat. I am eating because I know I need to. However, nothing sounds very appealing and I have no desire to prepare things. Suggestions for quicky snacks will be greatly appreciated. So far, I eat sliced apples and cheese or grapes and cheese. I cook a dinner but don't eat it. Been eating cereal alot too. I have carrots, but dont want them. TIA
I was in love with: Peanut butter & celery Tomatoes with cottage cheese rice cakes I left a bowl of popcorn out cheese slices & an apple
Half a grapefruit Watermelon(will keep you hydrated) Cream cheese in celery peanuts mixed with raisins fruit juice pops Veggies with dip frozen chocolate covered bananas Just eat whatever sounds good to you! I hope something sounds good.
frozen yogurt?
We are big on veggies and dip! And, when I was pregnant I loved it as well. Also, the flavored rice cakes are really good.
Chunks of watermelon, cantalope, pineapple, etc... Cheese sticks Celery with peanut butter or cream cheese Crackers with peanut butter Mini bagels Frozen ice Soup Yogurt Dry cereals like multigrain cheerios
Thank you. I see some things that sounded pretty yummy.Heading to the grocery store as soon as I am feeling well enough. Today is the first day I actually feel like I'm pregnant. UUGHHHHHh.
Any melons or juicy fruits, cut into bite size pieces. Oranges, (you ARE in FL... ) And fortified cereals can be very good for you. Try to eat some with fiber... Take some crackers, cream cheese, sliced, cheese, a bit of ham, or raisins, or peanut butter... be creative with it.
I shouldn't have come here before lunch! LOL I'm munching my cereal, but am soooo hungry with reading about these yummy things!
I liked Watermelon and Plums because they were so juicy and about the only things I could keep down. I couldn't eat at first because I would throw it all up but when I started to want things, I chose fruits.
I love soup. Maybe you could make some and put it into a thermos and sip on it along with some crackers?
This may sound gross, but i loved this when i was pregnant with my son....banana and butter sandwiches. Some like it with peanut butter instead of butter. This was my nightly snack when i was pregnant!
so far I've been craving LOTS of red meat, no chicken, and I've really wanted some marlin, the best fish in the world. I also have been eating a lot of peaches, and things of that nature.
I ate lots of soup and salads- you can get that pre-packaged salad mix now, and there is a bigger variety of health-conscious soups on the shelf at the store now. I ate chicken noodle soup almost every day- and then I found out how much sodium is in canned soup !
I grossed my dh out when he came home to find me with the jar of peanut butter & pickles sitting in front of me. I would dip the pickles. I can't even imagine doing that now!
Gross! I have heard of the pregnant person craving of peanut butter and pickles, but never actually heard of anyone doing that.
I had a friend that when she was pregnant would eat burritos (the frozen variety) dipped in french onion dip! YUCK! I craved crab legs and Cheez Whiz (yep the stuff in the jar) sandwiches...
I craved peanut butter on everything and even tried it on eggs. Eeeww! I can NOT imagine eating that now. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches still get an A+ in my book. I didn't try it on pickles, though.
