Sweet Dear Husband

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive June 2004: Sweet Dear Husband
By Amecmom on Sunday, June 20, 2004 - 11:44 am:

Today is father's day, yet my husband was up early, made his own breakfast and when he saw there was no more decaf left in the house, went to the store next door to get me a large decaf so I'd have some coffee for this morning.
Now, he's off at work, but will be coming home early.

This is him. He's just a sweet, thoughtful guy -even on the day that he's supposed to be catered to.

We have so many rants, we really need to celebrate the nice things our husbands do for us and for our children.

Ame, you are so right. I'd taken care of the rest of the family this week as every one of them came down with a stomach virus and recuperated in time for the birthday parties on Saturday that we had for both of my dd's. I don't know how I managed to stay healthy. My dh was a ton of help at the birthday parties (not his forte) and helped put away all the presents when we got home at 10 last night. Then he got up with my early riser at 6 and let me sleep until 9:30 because "you have been working your butt off for the last 10 days and it doesn't matter what the calendar says, you deserve a day!" I just melted. He's taking a nap now and we have a concert to go to tonight. He's such a sweetie pie!

That is sweet of your dh. :)

My dh went on a camping trip with a group of guys friday and saturday. They all took their 4-wheelers and had a good time.

Sunday I made him coffee, blueberry pancakes (kids and I picked blueberries last week YUM!) and bacon. THEN, get this, the man cleaned out his side of our closet without me asking, he worked on our pool pump/filter without me asking. (well i have asked several times over the last month but never intended him to work on it on fathers day) He got it fixed. THEN he went to the store and bought a new pump for my fountain that sits out front. Cleaned it out, and got it running again. (it has been broken for almost 2 yrs--I quit asking a long time ago for him to look at it) He must have really enjoyed himself on his camping trip.

What a good day! :)
