My mom's stepfather is in the hospital in Las Vegas and isn't expected to make it much longer, he has willed everything to my mom so we are making a trip there July 3rd - 9th. We will be going through the house and getting it ready to be sold. What I'm wanting to find out is there a charity or Goodwill type place that comes and picks up donations? We are planning on donating furniture, clothes, etc... Just about everything that doesn't have sentimental value.

We are from Houston and will be driving in and since it will be a really quick trip I'm looking to get as much done BEFORE we get there that I can. Any help or thoughts about things in that area would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Most Goodwill stores will come to pick up your items if you call and make arrangements beforehand. It's quite possible that other charities will do the same.

DAV or AMVETS will pick up stuff. You can also call some of the local churches or even a neighbor of his who might know. If you are in contact with the hospital, someone there might be able to give you a lead.

Thanks Kay, I wasn't sure if Goodwill was a nation wide service so I wasn't sure if they were in NV.
