Hello everyone, this morning I am taking a course. The cpr/firstaid course. I need it for my work, it is required by my new empoyer. I am really nervous, dh was going to come with me, but I felt bad that he would have to sit in a class room all day so I told him he did not have to go, it was basically to hold my hand as I am so nervous. He has taken the course before. It is at 8:30 this morning, so I will have to leave here pretty quick. wish me luck, ahhhhhhhhhhh

Don't sweat it, Mrse. I've taken dozens of CPR/First Aid classes over the years (even taught CPR for the Red Cross for a while when I was in the military). They've changed it a little bit each year to make it easier. They want it to be as easy as possible, because they want people to remember it in an emergency. Good luck!

First aid & cpr are not hard courses. I took them years ago when I worked in a nursing home. I then had to take them before I could bring my ds home. They had changed quite a bit, but the same pricipal was there.

You will actually have fun learning. We had a blast in my CPR class...its usually really hands on and not just a boring lecture..Goodluck

Well I am back, it has been a very long day, only got out a half hour early, thank goodness the class room was air conditioned, as it is a scorcher today. It was good, but everyone I talked to felt the same way I did that you feel a bit insecure, wondering if you are going to remember everything in case of an emergencey. I pasted, but from the sounds of it, that is not hard since he has only failed 1 person the whole time he has been teaching and that was because the guy would not participate at all. Once the course was over I was talking to a lady coming out of the building, and was not paying attention and I walked off the edge of the concrete down onto the side walk, I did not fall, but wrenched my back something terrible, I am in a fair amount of pain. My birthday is on monday but dh, has invited the family over to celebrate, tonight, not really into it, I am tired , hot and in pain. but I get presents!!! lol. I will be 39 on monday june 21. Getting close to forty ahhhhhhhhh.
