Spa Party for Girl Scouts
For our troops' Valentine's Party, we are going to do a Mom & Me Spa Party. I am looking for some neat ideas. We are going to paint nails, do some facials, hair dos, etc. The girls are in 5th & 6th grade so we don't want it too be to babyish but we also don't want it to be too old. Any suggestions? We are also going to do some fu-fu snacks & drinks. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
We had a spa birthday party for my daughter one year. I painted their nails, applied facials and make-up. The girls made scented candles, soap, bath salts, and body lotion to take home with them. It was a huge hit and fairly easy to do. We had appetizers and virgin cocktails.
I think a spa party sounds fun. My daughter is a brownie and we are doing a Mom and Me tea party for our Valentines day party. We will have tea/hot chocolate, finger sandwiches and desserts. The girls our 2nd/3rd graders.
My dd is in the 6th grade so I asked her what she would like to do if she could plan a spa party. Here is what she came up with... -paint finger and toe nails and do decals and/or jewels -put cucumbers on their eyes -do a face mask -new hair styles with temporary highlights or color and glitter spray -light make-up -use my parafin spa and foot bath spa -sit in the massage chair (we have an electric massage mat that fits a chair) -listen to music they like -make things like lip gloss or bath salts -take pictures when they are done HTH and have fun!
You gals are the best. Great ideas. Love em all. Any ideas for fu fu foods or drink? We are thinking maybe smoothies with fruit sticks in them or something else that's pretty looking. I'm am so excited about this event.
I'd say chocolate covered strawberries . And maybe the drink could be like a spritzer with sprite or 7-up? Or, if you drink coffee and your dd always wants to too, maybe some coffeeless mochas or something Starbucks like??? Another thing I was thinking, especially, since it's girl scouts, maybe play a bonding game of some sort??? You know how they have those books of questions for BFF's? Maybe play a mother daughter game like that? I think it's a great way for Mom's to get into the mind of their growing girl . Sounds like a lot of fun
