Every month about this time, while PMSing, I majorly crave chocolate. Oh my, you should have seen me scouring the cupboards looking for chocolate. Presently the only chocolate in the house is a new bag of chocolate chips (for cookies) and chocolate icecream. (Shhhhhh, I finished off the box of chocolate Teddy Grahams yesterday. text description)

I don't know if I can hold out! HELLLLLLLP!!

Seriously though, I remember reading an article stating there is actually a chemical in chocolate that women crave. Supposedly it has a euphoric effect. YUP, I'd say that's true! LOL!

Hey I once finished off a container of chocolate frosting in a day. Forgot I did it, made the cake, & had to explain it to my dh. I ask my dh not to bring it in the house, but everytime I get a little grumpy, he thinks its PMS & stocks the house!

ROFL! Oh Emily, my DH does the same thing! I firmly tell him NOT to bring chocolate into the house but he *knows* when I'm PMSing and often comes home with a huge Hershey bar. He says, "Honey, you need this!" At that point I don't know whether to kiss him or smack him. LOL!

KISS him!!! ROFL

My boss's wife keeps me in chocolate at the office. She brings me huge bags of tootsie rolls and hersey miniatures from Sams.

IMO, chocolate cures a host of problems!

I'm the exact same way! I just went out this morning and bought a huge bag of peanut butter cups!!

A recent study came out of Sweeden which indicated that pregnant women who ate chocolate every day had happier babies. Now, I wonder which chocolate company paid for that study ...

I made a pan of brownies at 11 o'clock at night just last week for this exact reason! :) I ate enough of the batter to satisfy my craving that night and then had the pan for the next two days. Yes, I know about the risk of salmonella but sometimes you just have a need for the happiest food on earth!

Oranges have that same thing that woman crave in chocolate so try to eat an orange and it should curb the craving. Works for me!

By Dana on Thursday, June 10, 2004 - 07:32 am:

Never heard that about oranges. I don't really care for straight chocolate (must have peanuts in it to be the best!) But an orange sounds pretty yummy.

By Bellajoe on Thursday, June 10, 2004 - 07:46 am:

oh I'm sorry, but Oranges just don't compare to chocolate! It would be a better choice, sure, but tastes nowhere as good as a chocolate cookie!

I read this last night and it got me to craving chocolate so bad that I was still thinking about it when I got up. I stopped at the store this morning at 8:00 and I bought one of those BIG Cadburry Candy bars with almonds in it. I am so bad but it was so good.

By Emily7 on Thursday, June 10, 2004 - 11:30 pm:

That is like Chocolate chip or peanutbutter cookie dough. I love eating the while I am baking. The brownie batter reminds me of my Dad. He would go out to "bake" a cake & by the time he was done eating the batter we had a paper thin cake.
