When it rains, it pours...

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive June 2004: When it rains, it pours...

Any of you who were on this weekend know that my DH has been bedridden with a staph infection. Well, yesterday youngest DD obviously had pinkeye so I took her to the DR. and while we were in there she said, "My ear hurts" so I had the DR. look and it was nasty infected and then she looked at her throat and said, "Well, the throat is hot too" and then asked Kiersten if her tummy had been upset, "Yes" so, she put her on antibiotics and said that she had all the classic symptoms of strep. She didn't do a test because she was putting her on antibiotics for the ear anyway.... (I didn't think anything of the tummy hurting because Kiersten has poop issues so that's what I thought it was, great mom huh?)
She came home and slept for 2 1/2 hours and woke up with a 102.7 fever!!! Today is her Field Day and End of the Year Class party. Someone is going to bring her a treat bag. SIGH...

Awwwh, poor girl. I am sorry to hear that. I will pray that she gets better soon. I hate it when our little ones get sick like that. I hope she enjoys her treat bag, maybe it will cheer her up.

I'm so sorry! You're right...when it rains, it pours! Hopefully some sunny skies are just around the corner...

Sounds you had a pretty lousy weekend. Hope your family is feeling better very soon. Everything always seems to happen at once.

I can't even imagine running between the two. Can I guess though that your dd is easier than your dh. Thats how it is in my house. I hope everyone gets to feeling better. Don't you get run down & end up getting sick! Take care of yourself

Ohhh....how sad. At least they are bringing her a treat bag.
I hope she feels better soon.
How is your DH doing now?
