Computer Help

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive June 2004: Computer Help
By Paulas on Monday, May 31, 2004 - 09:26 pm:

I need some computer help and where better to turn than to the experts!!

I'm wanting to type the following poem:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I'll count these hands instead of sheep
And remember all the friends I made
When I was in Mrs. Smith's first grade!

I bought the transfer paper that goes into my computer but it says I need to reverse the writing so that it comes out correctly on the fabric. How on earth do I do that?

Okay this is what I found..

(You are going to have to copy and paste it won't accept it as a link..)

I am thinking if you use your photo editing program and you just use the insert type option.
Type up what you want to say. And then click on mirror image or use the rotate button until it is back wards it should work... This is assuming you have a photo editing program. If not and no one else has a suggestion I will look further when I get back on later this evening.

In my paint shop pro program, it was image mirror.

In Photoshop 6, it was Image/Rotate/Flip Horizontal.

In Microsoft Paint, add text, then Image-Flip/Rotate-Flip Horizontal.

Thanks so much. I haven't printed it out yet but have managed to figure it out. It will be a weekend project. I'll bring all the pillowcases home and put the transfers on them. Then next week we will trace our hands using a fabric marker and write our names inside them. They are going to make such cute keepsakes of first grade.

Thanks ladies..I knew I could count on you!

You'll have to take a picture of one so we can see the finished project! Sounds like a neat thing!

I'll try to so that Dawn when they are finished.
